you're making various abstract points about hedge funds and ignoring what we know about tepper as a decision-maker. he's data-driven, he's a risk-taker, he'll buck conventional wisdom, and he's not conservative. 

you're also ignoring the maasive variety of different strategic models that are used in the hedge fund world today
