I'm certainly not obsessed, but I do have to work on mine all the time.

May can give you some pointers?

Finally bought my first house. Don’t have a big land. But .40 acres seem decent enough. I just threw some Milo last week. Haven’t seen much change. What’s been good for you?

Where are you located, and what type of shade, grass, and problems are you having?

I don’t have any trees at all. Live in a subdivision. Slight shad on the side from the neighbor’s house. Not sure what type of grass I have. Seems like a couple different types. I just spray some weed killers last month. A bunch of them. Also have a bunch of clovers that I don’t want. A couple bare spots.

You will need to find out what type of grass you have, the very best way to get some really cheap help is to take some of your samples to your local extension.

Take in some soil samples (they may make you send them off these days, it's been a while), take in some samples of your grasses, and the weeds.....I would immediately stop throwing down fertilizer and weed killer until you know what you are up against.

You have irrigation?  If not, buy a good water hose, a good sprinkler, and a timer that you can set at your spigot.

But first, see who you are fighting.

I know the Eastern NC grasses pretty well, but not much about the Western part of the state.

I promise you, the very best thing that I can offer is to reach out to these guys as soon as they open up, they will give you a TON of info, explain it, and it's usually free...maybe the soil samples cost a couple dollars?  I can't recall.

You will need to treat your soil and the growth if I had to guess.  Here in the far Eastern part of the state, especially Wilmington, keeping grass somewhat looking good is a chore, it's literally nonstop due to the soil.  You will have a much easier task, but you will need to do it right to get rolling correctly.  If you just continue to throw "box store" stuff at it like weed and feed, you will never get it right.

I will offer you a little help until you can make it to the extension.

Cut your grass/weeds more often than most around you....just the tips.  Most grasses get thicker the more often you cut them.  I cut a touch higher than most, but in tough areas, mow at least twice a week during the growing months.

Hit it with water early in the morning, not at night or during the heat of the day.  Get one of these to help you stay on top of it.

Don't put anything else on the yard until you know what you are up against, you could be making is worse.

    • I don't really get the Cam parallels. Cam was a monster and even with the refs not giving him his due he still ate. Where it finally had an impact was when they let defenses headhunt him. There are probably some refs that don't like LaMelo for reasons people can determine on their own. But I think most of the noncalls are due to us being a small market team and the league and the refs just giving zero fưcks if we continue to exist. At the end of the day it's up to LaMelo to rise above it all. Nobody is out there trying to take his head off. He needs to add some bulk in the offseason assert himself and get physical in the paint and take any fouls that might come along the way and gradually you will see the tide turn. But nothing is going to change for the better for him or the team if he just continues to limit himself to acrobatic threes from halfcourt. That's just the reality of the situation.
    • Terrence Brown Jr. Scored 19.9 and 3.8 apg for Utah. He had a visit today, Juke Harris had one yesterday. Word is Knox is following Martin to UNC.  Avdalas committed today Jarin committed to returning  Young committed to returning  Adams committed to enrolling  Last I heard Mingo is still committed  So right now the roster is as far as I know.  Mingo, Adams, Avdalas, Young, Knox, Matlekovic, and Stevenson.    Veesar and Juke both have significant offers from UNC.
