I'm fine with resigning him. Depends on for what tho.. we did just sign Seth Roberts to be a role player and samuel could do that and flash good play.

If he comes at a market price commensurate to his general league standing, I am not against that. Definitely not a long term contract

He started all of last season and they signed Robby Anderson to start ahead of him. They put him in a billion trade rumors leading up to the draft. He has fewer receiving yards than the starting AND backup running backs. "We want to get him more involved." Sure.

The problem is that he doesn't have any wiggle. He's straight-line fast but he almost never does anything to make defenders miss once he has the ball--that's why he's never been good as a returner. The "gadget" guys who have succeeded are best when they get the ball in open space and can make a guy miss. Samuel doesn't do that.

He has plenty of wiggle. We've all seen it. The problem is that we don't hit him in space enough. I think there's some argument about not getting him into the flow of the game, but some of it's him. At the point of the catch he's either alligator arming it and/or jumping which slows him down enough to throw him off his rhythm. If he could just keep going on stride, he'd be markedly more effective.

Out of all our wrs personally I think he has the most "wiggle". He looks pretty slippery spinning stoping and going the other day to me. Now is he breaking tackles with power like DJ? No... but in the open field I would rather have samuel 9 times out of 10.
