Quick Hits on the Panthers

I am an avid Panthers fan, been watching all the games this year, and here are my straight to the point opinions.

-Jake Delhomme will never engineer a come from behind victory that requires more than 3 points.

-Deangelo Williams is the best back in the league, Adrian Peterson fans go home.

-Likewise, Jonathan Stewart doesn't look right. He's a good player, but something has been strange with him this season. Perhaps it's all the losing.

-Steve Smith's competitive flame still burns, but it is starting to wain.

-Jon Beason right now is the only reason the defense is halfway respectable. They laid an egg when it counted.

-Between Davidson and Fox, the play calling was atrocious, I don't care what you say. Bomb on 3rd and 1, three passes with goal to go, no Deangelo or Stewart on the field (outside of the two point conversion) in the 4th quarter. The players didn't lose the game last night, they got out coached.

I hear you AKPF. Williams and Stewart seem to be hampered by respective injuries of late which may explain why they were on the sidelines during what may have been a critical part of the game. However, if our offense had taken care of business in the red zone and when we had the momentum in the 1st half, we wouldn't have had to play catchup IMO. Our playcalling constantly puts us in a precarious position and it's really frustrating.

For what it's worth, Stewart and D-Will were both listed as questionable for the game. They are both hurting.

This is why we need an NFL calibur QB, so we can take some pressure off Stew and DWill. They are basically getting the poo kicked out of them for said reason.

Good thing our next game is another week after next one. Hopefully they will be ok after some rest.
