College vs Pros

Recommended Posts

I think we are going to see a notable difference in this team.   Not only do we have better talent on the O-line but the entire coaching staff is full of NFL experience.  Compared to last season where we had a bunch of Rhule's hand picked college coaches.  Those coaches were in way over their heads and I am glad Tepper insisted that Rhule bring in experienced NFL coach.  Fitterer did a good job identifying these coaches and hiring them.

I believe that most NFL coaches have forgotten more than a college coach ever knew..

I think McAdoo is going to bring some thump to our offense. Snow's defense is going to be much better also even though we lost Riddick. I also believe with assistant coaches like Campen and Wilks this team is going to be like Night and Day from last year.

I am anxious to see how this team starts to mold together as OTAs, Minicamps and training camp.

The offense is surely to be better.  It couldn't possibly get worse.

I am certainly glad that experience at the nfl level was brought in. It was desperately needed.

Campen was a great hire. That man can turn these guys into something that resembles a pro football oline. The additions were much better than last season and showed a serious attempt to make it a priority.

Wilks is a great secondary coach and an even better man. Those kids hit the lottery with him as a coach. As for the rest of the defense it's still lacking.  I am not convinced they are up to the challenge.

All in all I give them a punchers chance of challenging for the nfcs, even with Darnold.

Prove me wrong.

Darnold has not shown much promise but if he ever is going to succeed this will be his year.

    • The new (released today) FOX ONE app will allow you access to watch your Local FOX Station - similar to how the Paramount Plus app allows you access to watch your local CBS station It'll cost you $20/month for the privilege, but if you're having trouble accessing the over-the-air antenna for FOX, this could be an option to consider the new ESPN app will give you access to ESPN content, but not to the local ABC affiliate. A reminder: if you currently get ESPN via some TV provider (cable, satellite, youtube, etc) then you should be able to use the new ESPN app via your provider login, no additional payment required
    • Not even close!!! BURNS was a one trick pony who had a big game or two a year in the sack collum and was invinsible the rest of the time....   Heck hes gonna be the Giants fourth best rusher this year.
    • XL went to one of the worst teams in the NFL.  One that features a weak passing O and bad overall QB play on the season.   XL is getting way too much hate IMO.   He had an okay rookie season all things considered.   Very much on par w/ prospects that projected around the same area with him.   Panthers made a 2nd rounder a first round technicality for that contract.  XL also getting this weird kicker type blame for games.  XL somehow single handedly lost us games on one play.....and then we ignore the rest of the team that went about losing the game for 4 quarters.   Should he of caught the Philly ball? 100%.  The O and D still played like garbage that entire game.  Even after the drop, Panthers had two shots starting w/ a 3rd and 4 to convert.  They kept playing bad instead.  And even if we XL made the play....Philly would have had a minute and half to get into FG range to win it.  Who is banking on the Panther D getting that stop?  also, I am deemed Mr. Negative, yet here I am defending a no good dirty Gamecock lol
