Game 18: Bobcats @ Nets 12/4 Trap Game of the Year

Alright, I'm not saying you guys are over reacting by any means, since it is a pathetic lose. However, we are still sitting in 8th place, just 4 under, and we did just dismantle the King James'. It is an inexcusable lose, but we are just 18 games into the season and anything can happen. As I said earlier, the Nets are not this bad.

The Bobcats suck at the end of games, they blow leads and their offense is nonexistant when the game is on the line. Boris Diaw can score the ball sometimes but he is slow and overweight as a defender. Tyson Chandler was raped tonight by an 0-18 latin american.

How long can you support cowards? That's what a team that chokes as often at the end of games as this one does is. Larry Brown continues to play rotations that nobody can understand. He's demoted Gerald Henderson before Henderson even got a chance to play for Derrick Brown and Stevie Graham. Brown plays with a lot of energy and seems to do well, but he is then demoted on the roster for Stevie Graham. Flip Murray can score but is not a good defender and he sometimes plays by himself on the court.

This coming from a team that once traded two first round picks away on the same draft night and a team that has one first round pick playing for the maine NBDL team and another first round pick (DJ) registering DNPS. Don't get me started on Adam Morrisson and Emeka Okafor.

This game summed up this organization's entire history as a failure.

Not bashing you but - We always seem to give people time. We love time. Drink that poo up!!!! I guess your right though, in time someone will win a championship for us.

Do you honestly think this? The NBA is controlled by large market teams. The Miami Heat are the only team in recent history to win a championship as a sort of underdog small market team (and that's a stretch seeing as they had Shaq and Wade and Miami is a hot spot)

List of NBA Champions Last 20 Years

1989 pistons

1990 pistons

1991 bulls

1992 bulls

1993 bulls

1994 rockets

1995 rockets

1996 bulls

1997 bulls

1998 bulls

1999 spurs

2000 lakers

2001 lakers

2002 lakers

2003 spurs

2004 pistons

2005 spurs

2006 heat

2007 spurs

2008 celtics

2009 lakers

in 20 years only 6 franchises have won an NBA Finals. Since 1959 only 13 franchises have one an NBA Finals.

Spurs are also are "small market" team that has won them. But point blank, if you aint the Lakers or the Celtics or the Pistons or one of them old ass big market franchises you aint winning poo in the NBA. Look at Cleveland, even with an athlete as good as LeBron the odds are HEAVILY stacked against them ever winning one.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.
    • Start posting in threads in the other forums instead of just creating threads. No one comes over here so you aren't starting conversations.  Get your ass up to 100 posts. It's not that hard. Don't create 100 posts. Contribute to conversations.
    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
