Game 19 Sixers @ Bobcats 'The Downward Spiral'

Game's not on television, but it'll be interesting to see how they rebound coming off a loss to an 0-18 team. For those wondering, Allen Iverson won't be playing until Monday for the Sixers, so we dodge that bullet for now.

Last time they played the 76ers, the Bobcats completely choked at the end of the game (sound familiar) and couldn't buy a basket. This is a team the Bobcats have the talent to compete with. They're at home on a Saturday, really need this one to rebound after a tough loss.

Elton Brand absolutely destroyed Diaw the last time they played. The sad thing is other than Diaw, we don't have another strong power forward. Brown plays the pf slot but I think he's way too small to guard guys like Brand in the post. I honestly think if we had another conventional PF, Diaw would have already had his minutes cut in half.

How can a guy who is a poor rebounder and poor defender get 40 minutes and only score 4 points (Diaw's total against the Nets)? Pathetic.

Is it just me...or does Diaw seem lost since Raja left? Granted, i havent see many games this year, including tonights, but he doesnt seem as effective as last year.

ed: hah! just read the box score. I knew that would happen! maybe i should stay away from the arena..they play better.

I was at the game, pretty empty, 76ers have like no fans down here so it WAS nice having only Bobcats fans.

Diaw lit it up, was hitting 3's, even had some defense going on. He's odd.

Felton was on the bench for a long time, but instead of Augustin, Brown played Flip. I'll say this right now: Flip is garbage. Guy missed shot after shot. I'm not talking about open shots, I'm talking about stupid greedy shots. He does NOT pass, he's selfish, and I don't know why he gets to play over DJ, it's stupid.

Also, Gerald Henderson needs to play more. Guy is good. Had a nasty block and a nasty dunk in short time.

I wish we'd run Nazr at C and Chandler at PF. Diaw can be a sixth man, if he don't like it, fine.

We won but we need to get to a point where we always beat teams like this, no questions.

id rather start chandler, i understand that nazr is playing bettr and i completly agree, but if we bring naz into the starting role, who will score off the bench? we need some scoring off the bench, plus he cant handle starter min so whats it mattr? now i do think at end of games he should be in there instead of chandler, but at the start? who cares..... id rathr have the points from the bench

ex.... who thinks roger mason should be benched for manu (spurs)?

I wanna see Nazr start over Tyson. Also, more UPS and Hendo and LB needs to stop being a prick and play DJ and bench Flip.

Its not like DJ has been tearing it up this year, in fact he is probably the biggest dissappointment on the team right now imo.

But I do agree that he should get more playing time to work through the slump he is in.

    • I really appreciate Bill explaining his methodology here because that gives interested parties a chance to try and recreate the results themselves. I believe that it's safe to assume that despite emphasis being placed on WRs that Chuba Hubbard is one of the Panthers' top-5 weapons. Considering targets, yardage, receptions, etc... Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette are also on the list. Jalen Coker's success might have snuck him in there as well. I can't draw a conclusion on who #5 is though. I've narrowed it down to Diontae Johnson, David Moore, Ja'Tavion Sanders, and possibly Rico Dowdle if they're taking into account his production for the Cowboys in 2024.
    • Unfortunately business is business especially when there are large sums of money on the table. Goes the same for player and ownership. Does not make it right either way.  Why would he not want to play for the niners? Closer to home with a team that has a chance of delivering a SB trophy.
    • I don’t know if it’s him bad mouthing his former situation in public or my pettiness but either way I’m not a fan. Dude was on playoff teams getting paid millions to entertain. I’m not better that because and I am better than that. You don’t bad mouth your former employer in public. Esp after getting over paid and two, poor little Russian baby didn’t get the playing spot he wanted. Rod had him exactly where is was supposed to be.  He had a mean lip check and did defend our players. Specifically the devils game around Christmas where is our Haula on his ass. Cool. Thank you. But don’t talk poo about us. Because it make you look like Haula.    “need to get as far away as possible”. fug off. Didn’t see Burnsy bad mouthing and his play dropped off too.    sorry, but Orlov doesn’t get a pass from me. See you twice a year…
