I Was Not Impress With Matt Moore Today

Wait, but Moore doesn't practice, hasn't been on the team for a couple of years now and hadn't already had some throws under his belt.

Wow, people are so deranged with the the "anybody but Jake" syndrom that they would defend David Carr starting at this point if he were still on the team.

Do you have nightmares about Jake at night?

Arguing is a waste of time since it won't change their opinion. Jake haters are looking for any proof that it was Jake's fault and that anyone could run the offense better. The fact that Moore didn't look good yesterday due a poor offensive scheme, suspect pass blocking and poor playcalling can't be true for them or the same excuses could be used for Jake's troubles as well. And that goes against the notion that the team is great and a simple quarterback change will solve all the problems.

Every coaching position has been changed but Fox's........no speculation there.

As I said ealier.....do you understand what "handcuffed" means?

When O' When are you going to recognize that? Geeeeeeesssssshhhhhhhh!!!

I will recognize the term when someone, anyone can show any proof that it is occurring. I hear speculation and rumour but neither Meeks nor Davidson say that they are handcuffed in any way by Fox. Maybe they are prohibited from say it but still that has never been proven. I haven't seen anything that says that Henning was handcuffed either.

Show me one article of proof. Until then it more 9 lives speculation and innuendo.

Before you go to Jake's aid...

If you read the first post directed at CRA, then you would see that I think neither are the answer. If it makes people feel warm and fuzzy about benching Jake the rest of the year, then cool, but this year is done for all intents and purposes. I have a feeling next year is going to be full of upheaval with this team and I'm thinking no QB on the '09 team should be starting in '10. That's my point.

By all means, let Moore play the rest of this year against this brutal stretch of the schedule. The only thing that will change his status as a back up QB is if he actually goes out and wins 2-3 of these last games.

My question is, if Moore goes 0-4 with a few picks over the next month, will you throw him under the bus too?

This is not about hating Jake, it is about reality. In one post you say you don't defend him, and now this.

You are the most contradictory, and blinded by Fox/Delhomme bullsh!t person I have ever seen. At least KT sticks to his guns. I hope you see what that makes you look like for once.

You are all over the board with your views/opinions, or whatever you want to call them.

Thanks for your opinion. Since I don't value it or give it any credence, there is nothing to respond to.

Once we got up 10-0 Moore's chances at showing what he can do disappeared. He completed all of his passes on the first drive leading to a TD and after that the play calling was beyond predictable.

I for one am sick of "Fox-ball" i.e. sitting on a lead, no matter how small.

Had TB taken the lead we would have finally seen Moore being used a little bit more like a legit NFL QB.

First of all, I'm not on the team, so I can't throw anybody under the bus......but I can state my opinion without bias.

Jake is done in the starter role, and as a backup I'm fine with it, and the sooner you people realize this, the amount of these post, and threads will quit cluttering up the Huddle.

I don't hate Jake, but I do hate ANY QB that plays for the team I root for, that constantly gives points to the other team.

Blinded.......I suggest you look the word up. I've never said Moore is our future, but he certainly is playing better than Jake. Why you people can't see that, I'll never know?

The kid did a good job yesterday even though being handcuffed like he was, but everybody wants to talk about poo about him, and why he isn't the future etc. Whether he is or not, he did what Jake hasn't been able to do.

Not sure what you people expect anymore, and it's sickening.

Yes, the opening drive was a good mixture of run and pass--NAMELY a short passing game. Davidson gave Moore some short, manageable throws to complete in stead of the normal run, run, bomb he usually calls.

Agreed, "Fox-ball" sucks.

That first drive was most likely scripted. You can see what happens when we actually have to go away from the script and call plays on the run.

First off, thank you for responding to the post directed at you without being condesending.

I agree that he's a bit rusty in live games, but I didn't see enough out of him to say he's the answer. Ideally, he'll stick around as our #2 QB and the team will find someone else next year that can really guide our offense.

The play calling is bad, everyone sees it, so that has to imrpove as well and if Davidson (Fox) is gone next year we may get to see that change with much less predictable play-calling.

oh, Thanks again.

I have been a Moore supporter but I have never seen enough to think he was an answer. He is simply the guy who should be starting based on the current QBs on the roster in 09. Jake simply got so bad he really isn't even a backup caliber QB at this point in his career......With Jake it isn't all bad playcalling b/c he kills the team one the rare moments plays are there for him. Moore at least is a NFL backup caliber QB. I think his okay play and 3-1 record support at least that much.

Since this is a message board, and it's about peoples thoughts, and opinions.....I don't give a sh!t what you value, but I'm going to speak mine.

You trash Moore who played admirably, and I trash Jake who has done nothing but fvck us this year, but your word is the truth I guess???

If you got off of Fox's, and Jake's dick long enough.....you might not be so blinded with you view on things.

Self righteous ...........great word.

And you are a foulmouthed little Napoleon that mouths off on a message board and talks crap that he wouldn't dare say to people over 5 feet tall unless you wanted to get your butt kicked. Then again you are so stupid you would do it and wonder why you ended up spitting chiclets so often.

So we can conclude 2 things following this week's win...

1) Some of the more diehard Jake Delhomme apologists are "insecure" about how well Matt Moore played as the starter yesterday.

2) Some of the more diehard DeAngelo Williams fanatics are "insecure" about J Stewart putting up 120 yards (making him 330 short of 1,000 as a backup) without DeAngelo playing.

Makes you wonder if we had lost and those 2 DIDNT play well would those obsessed fanatics be happy?

Personal attack much? I've never been shy, not on here, or in person.

Your choice, but I suggest you think long and hard. It's amazing how I can make you dance, and get all lathered up, over you beloved Fox and Jake debates.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
