Golden Tate...?

Notre Dame WR Golden Tate will enter the 2010 NFL Draft.

As a true junior, Tate broke Jeff Samardzija's school records of 93 catches and 1,496 receiving yards, and added 18 all-purpose TDs. Tate is on the small side (listed generously at 5'11), but has remarkable ability to track the ball in the air and catch it at its highest point. He's struggled with drops in his career and may not run sub-4.4, but is a definite first-day possibility.

That part about his hands in the write up is just not true. He has amazing natural hands. He just has the ability to get to some balls that other receivers wouldn't touch.

I disagree. He has decent hands at best. From what I have seen, if there is traffic he usually doesn't come down with it. He's a smart route runner and most of his catches are balls that hit him in stride or are when he is pretty open. I like him, but his hands definitely aren't amazing.

you must be watching someone else cause i watched every ND game for years and I tell you i thought he was like a little Steve Smith last year and even explained to my on that he was allot like him so he could relate to a ND player because he doesnt know them as much as the Panthers. But he will catch things in coverage just fine i didnt see some drops when he was open running free that he dropped in the begining of the season but after that he was lights out for the most part. That being said we dont need 2 small recievers. and we dont need to replace smith we need to replace moose. we need somone with size to handle those tuff catches. I know nothing says you have to have a tall big reciever and a mall speedy one but it seems like the right formula to me. someone else will draft him and he will be a star.

Well I know that I have seen a lot more of his play than you have, and we will have to agree to disagree. Just watch for what they say about his hands after the senior bowl.
