Guy is still really young.  People (read: mad Habs fans) wanted to bury KK before he could buy a beer and although he's been inconsistent he has also shown the ability to take over games.  This stuff can take time, especially when their confidence takes a hit in these markets where it's as if they're playing for the Yankees and held to impossible standards.  I think he fits in well to our system, and his youth means it would make sense for him to get a prove it deal with us to take over a roster spot voided by someone like Stepan.  He just needs to get a streak going.  Hell, a lucky bounce for a goal in round one and he could all of the sudden be the Foegele/McGinn/Max Domi spark that you knew you needed but didn't know they'd be the one carrying it out

Burns is more consistent on both ends. Dougie disappeared so hard randomly, especially when the playoffs came. and woo boy they paid him
