Panthers' safety Harris back to his havoc-wreaking habits

I like Harris but we are in real need of depth at SS (teal is not the answer). Keep an eye out come April on Aaron Webster out of Cincinnati. He is a late round guy that shows me a lot of good qualities in that postion, hard hitting, has a nose for the ball and is good in pass coverage. And he would be a excellent special teamer.

Harris needs to learn how to wrap up on a tackle. He seems to prefer going for a hit and it's bit him in the ass numerous times this year. He seems to get run over or around more than anyone else on this defense besides maybe Godfrey.

Run over? That is just crazy talk.

Yes he does need to wrap up more, but he hits like a LB. The amount of short runs he has stuffed is awesome, the one late against the Buccs was brilliant but the refs gave them a generous spot.

It is very rare that he gets left on an island and this allows him to tackle the way he does, he is very very good in run support. Passing game is where he gets exposed, but even that is improving.

    • Didn't realize how much cover 3 he runs. Seeing how many throws went to the middle of the hashes or boundaries about 10 yards deep, wish we ran some more Cover 2 zones that game
    • Yeah, what the hell is Scott doing on that 1 play he dropped back to the 40?? There isn't 10 seconds left in the half and need to defend a hail mary...
    • Immediately cast blame? We had been talking about the bad throws to Hunter (the missed TDs and hospital ball) for days leading up to that injury report.   And yeah, the rib injury then becomes something to point out.  and you are getting desperate with this projected extremism.  No one  said you should never throw seams.  I shared with you an article after you scoffed at seams being routes you can get hung out to dry on….and it was the best of the best talking about the dangers of those routes.   And they talked about it because they threw them a lot and there dudes were at risk so the throws really matter.  Because you can hurt your receivers.  we disagree, cool.  I got a pro Bryce former NFL QB calling it a hospital ball and bad throw.  So I got a plus +1 making my argument.  Find a QB that backs your take.
