Belmonts highschool team won its 3rd ever state championship today!!!!

South Point overcame five turnovers and a 28-14 first half deficit to win its third football championship.

Aaron Crumbley scored five touchdowns and Josh Justice added another, as the Red Raiders beat South Johnston 42-28 in Kenan Stadium. Crumbley was the game MVP.

talk about gutsy!!!! 5 TOs and down by 2 touchdowns at halftime.....they come out and shut them out the second half and score 28 points !!!!

iam super proud of this town and these kids!!! awesome stuff.

Congrats to Butler, South Point, West Rowan and Albemarle on their titles. And being a Concord High alum, South Point will hold a special place in my heart for knocking Kannapolis' ass out of the playoffs!!
