Halladay Possibly To The Phillies...

The Phillies are in agreement on a three-team trade with the Mariners and Blue Jays to acquire star pitcher Roy Halladay, SI.com has learned.

Sources say Halladay will agree to a contract extension to complete the deal.

It's likely Cliff Lee would wind up with the Mariners in the deal.

    • Agree.   Sorry, I don't know Charles Lee personally, and didn't mean to attack him in that manner.  But as a coach, he's useless.  This team would be just as good with my pit bull coaching them as they would be with Charles Lee coaching them.  I've been incredibly critical of this franchise in this chain.  But I miss the days when the "Hive Is Alive" - which shows how old I am. This team now has the talent to win.  Go get whoever that next guy is that can drive it.  Charles Lee isn't it.  Let's see what they do over the next 10 games.
    • It’s slim pickings. Banks is extremely intriguing and is interesting as a five in our front, and is probably the only real option of the true DTs. I like Woods inside but he’s probably doesn’t have the length to play outside. McDonald just isn’t really the type of player you see go high. Average measurables, not much production against the pass.    Faulk may actually garner some interest from us. He can play the 5, 4i, 3 in even fronts and is billed as a supposed edge player but I think he’s probably better suited for the above. They’ll like the idea of moving him around-but it’s not going to feel like the plug and play box tick that someone like Sadiq is going to give you.
    • Was able to see most of the game without sound, and watched the replay today. Blue line was outstanding. I think there is little doubt Jaccob Slavin is the best defensive player in the league. Chatty, Walker & Miller all had excellent games. Freddie looked pretty damn good. If he and Bussi each find their peak performance, they could carry a couple games in the playoffs. Ehlers has been a little quiet lately...
