First Panthers game and have questions....

CAPTAIN

Recommended Posts

OK, I'll be attending my first Panthers game on Jan 3rd and am wondering what the parking situation is? Do I need a parking pass? Where can I get a parking pass and which lots are better to park in?

Also, I have seats in row 1 in the end zone and we would like to get into the stadium as early as possible. What time do they actually let fans head in?

Nope, no parking pass. Just park where you like around the stadium. The closer you are, the more expensive. Right near the stadium is $30+ bucks. Drive about 5-6 blocks away and it drops down to $10 or so. There are many, many lots to choose from. Just find a good one with a good tailgate crowd! Just pay the guys (usually with flags and traffic vests) collecting money in the entrance to the lot.

I normally park near the apartments at the corner of West 6th St. and North Smith St. Nice lot, cheap, and easy access to I-77 after the game is done. Love it there. I've parked at many different lots and have never found dumbass Panther fans. Usually it is the idiot encroachers that ruin a lot (coughcoughFALCONSFANScoughcough)

I know I usually get to my seat about an hour before kick-off. I wouldn't worry about getting there as absolutely soon as you can. You have your ticket. No one will take your seat. Not sure of exact hours, but I know the stadium is open at least 1-2 hrs before kickoff, if not even longer than that.

Enjoy the game! (or enjoy watching 2nd stringers from the Saints, possibly...idk.)

there is a parking deck on the right (if your on 3rd street- I THINK ) right before the huddle tailgate parking lot. its an easy walk and only like $15.

Its on the same street as piccassos- right before it on the right (if your driving towards the stadium)

then you can go right across the street, tailgate, party and then go to the game!!!

its close, easy to get out of, and CHEAP

That's where I used to park before I moved to the other side of the stadium.

Excellent, thanks for the positive info on parking guys.

Hey, with ticket prices being cheap this season, how many 'who dats' can I expect to see?

Is the comradery rough with opposing fans?

What are the chances of getting some pre-game autographs from the players while sitting in row 1 in the end zone?

will be a good number of Saints fans....pretty much any NFC South foe brings a good number of opposing fans. Pre game autographs I don't think so much.....maybe a very slight chance if you're at the tunnel when they come off the field after warmups...

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
