I don't really have a good read on the Bears, and where they are heading as a franchise...I need to do some more research before I can say that getting rid of Lovie is a good move.

You guys want a defensive minded head coach, after you gave up the world for Cutler?....Does not make much sense to me.

It is interesting to note that the last time we had an offensive minded coach (Ditka), we won the Super Bowl... we also had a talented QB with a bit of a "screw loose" mentality... and the greatest RB ever, mind you.

I just think that with what you have invested in Cutler, you have to make it work, or at least try everything in your power...your being Chicago ownership.

And that means getting a offensive minded coach, and a FANTASTIC QB coach in there to try to fix Jay. He is broken, I know that none of you Bears fans want to admit that, but it's the truth. He needs some help, and I can't see as to how Lovie and crew can fix it.

I don't believe in hiring coaches that made their living on the coattails of HOF QB's, but you almost have to figure out a way to get Shanny, if for nothing else to try to fix Jay.

Jay will be fine with the right coach and the right system. I agree with thefuzz though that once you invest that much into a QB, you have to find a way to make it work.

If that means booting Lovie out of town, I don't see why you wouldn't. Although he has had some success (ala, the Bears aren't a laughing stock), he's been like Fox where he's been unable to sustain any of it, or win the big game in one of his better years.

I say fire Lovie. Good news for Lovie would be, due to the Rooney Rule, he'd probably get a call from just about every team looking for a coach.
