Moore than just a backup???

Moore is going to stumble at some point. There`s no avoiding that. It`s inevitable. Heck, might even happen this Sunday.

The mistake would be to take that one game where he has a bad performance and conclude he`s worthless.

Every QB has those games. Even Peyton. You just have to know how to tell a bad game from a bad quarterback.

Lack of that particular skill has cost many a coach his job.

I think you just pointed out Foxs' weakness :D

not comparing him to peyton but just using him as an example of what you're talking about.

peyton went 7 weeks in his rookie year before he had more TDs than INTs and then was only able to do that 3 more times that season. he finished the year with a 3-13 record, a 56.7% completion rate, 26 TDs, 28 INTs, and a 71.2 passer rating. he had a lot of learning to do and a lot of mistakes. he very well could have been a bust. you had to hang in there, though, and give him time and room to grow. of course he was a phenomenal QB in college and the #1 pick overall but ryan leaf showed a lot of promise in college as well and was taken right after manning.

Compare him with Steve Young.

Well, Matt Moore is the closest thing to a "groomed" QB that the coaching staff has produced in 7 years. I'm not sure drafting a rookie to "groom" is the answer, as I do believe we do need a veteran back up.

I'm not sure that makes any sense but I know what I mean :D
