Why not G?

Each year you must play divisional foes. The division has a few young promising DTs(s.ellis, babs in atl, anderson, moore etc). Second round is a GREAT round to pick a top three rated G(sometime the best G goes late 2nd). Makes a strength stronger. There is a opening at the G spot; Key is a FA and old.

yea in house could be the answer. if duke was as good as most say, he would have been starting day one and not inactive for most the yr. mac showed some skills and geoff could slid inside. maybe or draft the #1 rated G that can pull and add another element to run game. i still think it should be consider.

duke is very talented just lazy and not in nfl shape. He just got by on his own merits. Hopefully he's ready to step up next season.

I really think WR or DT should be our first priorities, but i would have no problem with an OG or athletic LB.

yeah. But fox values experience and vets so he left Vincent at G..D.Robinson was the Best G out of the draft last year.It just depends on what we do with him.Bernadeau could start but then we would need a back up Center.

I would love to have a young stud in there, as it would lock out OLine up for a number of years baring injuries or people stopping their improvement. However, we drafted the top OG for a power running system last season, so it would seem a touch dramatic to target the top guard in this draft as well.

Also to consider is Mac and Schwartz. They are two absolute workhorses, so if Duke does not pan out, we are going to have a average or better guy who plays hard every play. I think their performance late in the season has shown it is not an immediate need AND we can draft late and still produce.

Address it in the 5th-7th rounds, as most teams are drafting OTs to slide inside these days which means one of the top OGs will slide. We unfortunately have a couple glaring holes that really do need to be addressed first, although if the best value is an OG I would not be displeased.

duke is lazy and slow learner, according to various reports. just seems many think is he the best G EVAAARR! fact; drafting late in the fif round and was inactive most the season. still many what to give the job to him.

Not saying G is a top need, just should part of the discussion. WRS, QB, PK/K returner, then maybe G or C/G hybrid.

I'm a believer in drafting the best player available theory. Not if a HUGE NEED is on the board, but the the best player is rated slightly higher. Then go with need.

G is just a thought. In-house could be the answer.

I don't think Duke's issues are that he is lazy. He had some behavior problems and is a little immature, coupled with the fact that at draft time he was/is more raw talent than anything else. Not to mention last years draft was very deep at OL. That is why he fell more than anything else.

He is very strong and plays with a hell of a mean streak. Maybe too mean, if possible.

Just because he didn't start day one doesn't mean that he is not going to ever be capable of being a very good G for us. Give him some time. I think that we are pretty set at OL. Draft a late round guy that has promise and can play multiple positions, I wouldn't spend a pick higher than 6th round on an OL unless someone just free-fell like crazy.

Do you have links to said reports? Like I said earlier, I never heard/read that anywhere (although, it could have just been because I wasn't paying attention), and would just like to see where that was stated.

He is not listed as a slow learner or lazy, more that he has questionable motivation.

His main character flaw was his rash of penalties (personal fouls) and potential anger problems on and off the field. They also state that he will need to be monitored in the off season as he routinely lets his weight go and has been know to get up to 380 lbs.

    • It wasn’t completely his fault, but outside of two throws and one or two scrambles he didn’t do much to help. His accuracy was all over the place, numerous passes that were placed poorly and didn’t give the receiver a good chance to catch the ball or do anything with it after. He also continues to display terrible pocket awareness. Even the sacks could have been avoided, they weren’t immediate like the pressure we got on Shough at times. Bryce just often has no feel for pressure and stands there waiting to get sacked after numerous seconds have passed.
    • I really fuging hate this era in so many ways.  I look at those Adin Ross and Neon kids, and I just wonder why tf are they famous?  Why would anyone be desperate enough to gain THAT audience that they’d risk money, career, disciplinary action to go up there and associate with those fuging dweebs?  And back in my day, racist peers got their ass beat.  And not endorsing or approving bully culture, but checks and balances and all…  had those two been bullied, or at the very least humbled, they wouldn’t be famous and glorified for being the fuging idiots they are now.  It seriously pisses me off… they both have done and said multiple, openly racist stuff and major media keeps pushing them, talking about them, and propping them up… and then dummies like Puka who don’t need the platform or exposure lend their celebrity to them.  fuging idiot… and even the other streamers, I don’t get - Speed, Kai…  I don’t understand making nobodies famous at all, but there is at least entertainment value to some degree there, and I could see how young, impressionable kids would find them something to aspire to (sadly), or view as “cool.”  But Ross and Neon?  They’re just shitty, shitty nerds with big ass mouths. I’ve went back recently and watched some classics (in two very different eras and categories 😂)  like Robocop and Idiocracy.  And what I find fascinating is how both movies illustrate how stupid society became by showing what the citizenry is entertained by.  In both, society became anti-intellectual and the citizenry were entertained by lowest denominator, primal-type absurdity - poo like, “Ouch! My Balls!”  Or on Robocop, a guy is a watching a show where they are smashing cakes on ladies’ breasts and then a guy says a line as the camera zooms in like, “I’d buy that for a dollar!” and the audience thinks it’s hilarious.  That’s where I feel like we are now.  Like who watches that clip with Puka and thinks any of that poo is funny or cool?  If I was Puka, I’d honestly be wondering why tf I’m hanging out with these beta ass, racist, cretin ass weirdos.
    • 7 wins this year and some of those against really good teams and yall think Canales might get fired? Lol Good luck getting a better coach in here if that happens.
