Additional from ProBasketballTalk.com

Ken Berger at CBSsports.com is reporting the Bulls and Bobcats are close to a deal that sends Thomas to Charlotte. What is not released yet what would head back to the Midwest, but it likely would include Acie Law and Flip Murray, both expiring deals. Charlotte may want to find a way to include point guard DJ Augustin, who the team has been trying to move for a while, however the Bulls want expiring contracts and DJ is in just the second year of his rookie deal.

Okay, it's a done deal.

12:10 pm It's official according to Mark Spears at Yahoo, Tyrus Thomas is headed to the Bobcats. The deal is for Acie Law, Flip Murray and a future first round pick. Denver had tried to get Thomas in a deal, but the Bobcats pick will be much higher and that was the deciding factor.

I agree with Brit, its not like we have ever drafted anyone worth a damn. Lets try and trade our next 20 first round picks for Lebron haha. Im pumped about this trade, tyrus thomas has a ton of upside and with some good defensive coaching from LB he could turn into another Ben Wallace but with better scoring potential. Question is tho, does Diaw slide to the bench or does Tyrus become our 6th man?

If this is true I'm excited. We traded garbage for a good player. Now Henderson might get some PT with Flip gone. Another great trade by the Bobcats. Screw the first round pick. It's not like we've gotten anything out of our past first rounders.

eeehhhh idk if id say Thomas is a GOOD player. hes alright.

I like the trade, but then again, I dont like the trade. I believe Thomas needs to run, and with the Bobcats being more of a half-court team, I dont see the fit. He'll help tremendously on defense, though. With Wallace and Thomas, you'll have some excellent shotblockers. Atleast the 'Cats made a move, though. They needed to.

    • No doubt.  I was at the game watching it and it looked like a fly ball to the infield.  It got in the air and just hung up.  XL tracked it like a shortstop.
    • You need to go outside and get some fresh air.
    • Sorry, I don't get the "mental" thing at all. If his football IQ was as low as you say it is, then he wouldn't be out there blocking as well as he is.  It is quite possible that he's been pressing due to not really being in the flow of the game because Bryce doesn't look for him on the regular. His strength, at the moment, seems to be as a mismatch in the slot on crossers and slants in my opinion, and for whatever reason (maybe height) Bryce is more likely going to chuck it to the sidelines. So, in a sense, maybe Legette and Bryce aren't a good pairing, and that gives the appearance that Legette is not all there. Lord knows that Bryce doesn't seem to be able to hit receivers in stride so they can maximize YAC. But anyway...all that being said, I thought that X would be more than just a possession type of guy. So we'll see where it goes from here. I'm not like some, who appear not to see the value in a guy who can kill you like that, and kill you just as well as guys that do their best work on the outside, but, X is going to have to be able to consistently hands-catch on the run and separate better at the top of the route if he really wants to unlock his potential as an all-around receiver. If Bryce could consistently and accurately hit receivers, especially in seams on the slants and crossers, it would open up Legette and the offense. Just my opinion, but I think he causes all the receivers to press to varying degrees, and causes the coaches to call plays that have built-in limitations, but I could be wrong about that.
