Drew Brees asks a question ab LT on Twitter

is that legit Drew Brees? wouldn't expect him to have a twitter haha.

and as for LT, he is still a good goal line back. he doesn't fumble the ball, and can get into the end zone. he's delusional in that he thinks he has a 1400 yard season left, but I'm sure some team will sign him, just doubt it'll be a full time role.

I thought so also, but according to recent article on PFT, Houston isn't looking at him. Things can change, but Houston wants a young back and LT wants to play for a ring. Doesn't seem to mesh

If Houston had a goal line back and a kicker that didn't choke they could have easily won 3 or 4 more games and been in the playoffs. Their primary back has fumbling issues and LT is a guy who can mentor Slaton. I really don't see how that doesn't mesh.

I wrote "doesn't seem to mesh" because Houston is on record wanting a young back and LT isn't young. LT is on record wanting a ring, and while Houston has talent they aren't a team you first think of as a Super Bowl contender. I actually think LT would be a good fit in Houston; but just judging by their words it would appear not to be a fit. Of course like I said "things can change". LT may not find many suitors and Houston may not find the back they want in the draft.

    • Oh I was.  But we still had great players.
    • You keep AT unless he WANTS to get traded to a contender during the season.  He's valuable, TET, XL, and Coker need to learn how to be PROFESSIONALS on game day, practice, and the off-season.  That's what you get from AT.  ADDITIONALLY, he is clutch.  He is steady.  At is that savvy vet who will always flash. I really think they keep 7 WR's if Brycen can operate on special teams.  Week 1 you may see us heavy on WR and OL because of the massive amount of injuries across the league.  Renfrow may even be cool starting on the PS since he lives close and wouldn't need to uproot his family.  You can still make nearly 400K as a vested veteran on an NFL practice squad.  You see more veterans hanging around since the age limit was lifted. I think the 1st 53 and PS looks like so...... Offense: (25) QB (2) Young / Dalton RB (3) Chuba/Rico/Etienee WR (7) T-Mac/XL/AT/Coaker/Renfrow/JHjr/Brycen TE (3) Tremble/Sanders/Evans OL (10) Icky/Lewis/Corbett/Hunt/Moten/Brady/Mayes/Yosh/Zavala/Kingston Defense: (25) DL: (6) Brown/Robinson/Turk/Bobby B/Cam Jackson/Sam Roberts OLB: (5) Wonnom/PJ2/NicSic/Princely/Incoon ILB: (5) Rozeboom/TW/Windmon/Cherelus/Bam CB: (5) Horn/MJ/CSW/Thorton/Evans S: (4) Tre'Mo/Ransom/Demani/Scott Specialists: (3) JJ/Fitz/Martin Last spot: Right now I have it as a toss up between DJ Johnson and Bam.  Until NicSic can come back we need an extra edge.  Do we utilize TW more as a blitzer from the middle to keep Bam safe?  I'm not worried about DJJ getting picked up from another team, a little more concerned with Bam. Practice Squad: DavidMoore/JamesMitchell/JacolbyGeorge/Tuttle/Crumdley/Ray/DJJohnson/Kantra/Carter/Blacksheer/ Wright/KrysBarnes/MichaelReid/Safety pick up/RB pick up/QB pick up
