Rooted Android Phone

does it void your warranty when you root your phone? I want to root my Droid to get access to 802.x1 wifi or whatever you call it.

If it doesn't void your warranty I'll probably do it on friday and report back.

That really sucks that 5-6 apps is pressing for space, I'm happy I waited a long time to get a smart phone. I don't buy any new technology until it's established. The last days of old technology are always wayyyy better than the first days of the new technology.

The problem is that the G1 (the very first Android phone ever) has very little ROM space. I literally only have 5 or 6 apps and that is pressing for space.

yeah i know how you feel man. i have the same phone and i dont have much space. plus the battery SUCKS!!!!!!!

i do know that people have rooted it. on another forum i go to a guy said he does stuff like that all the time and he sent me a link to some site about how to do all that stuff. but i also saw that some peoples phones did brick up.

so i didnt do anything with mine.

    • That's usually the narrative when there aren't highly touted QBs or DEs. Off ball LB is the position this year. And there are some really good prospects. WRs are deep too. No generational level guys but very deep with solid options.  I would target CJ Allen in the 1st. I want a real ILB. Not a pass rusher that can move back. Not a safety that can move up. He's smart, tough, instinctive and durable. Dude had surgery on his meniscus and missed one game. One game. And... he's only played LB. Watching him control guards with his hands andsift through the garbage to get to the ball is refreshing. That's my guy in the 1st.
    • It’s always a weak draft, next year is always better according to the draftniks. This is a weak draft for QB, WR, and TE. Theres only a few true LT. RB and DB are average. It’s a good class for the rest of the Oline, Dline, Edge, and LB.
    • there is only a handful of blue chippers (Reece, Styles, Downs, Love, Bain) but overall its a pretty deep draft with solid players.  Really deep on the defensive side particularly lb's so that is in our favor.  Thats why I have been saying if styles is not there at 19 (he wont be) then try to pull a Rams/Falcons type deal and get another 2nd and first for next year.  IMO there really isnt much difference in quality of players at the back half of the first into the 2nd
