Armanti Edwards is very slight of frame but he might throw the best of any QB that's scheduled to throw in Indy.

Just thought this was interesting. Granted, there is a reason he is a "former" scout. I wouldn't hate if we took him in the later rounds. But I am biased.

My biggest personal concern of Armanti is not his size, speed, arm strength, or even his durability. I am very worried about his ability to digest an NFL playbook and his abilities to make micro-second decisions under pressure. Because those abilities are what separates the average and the greats. But maybe he can pull a Dennis Dixon and make it on a roster and one day get a chance.

I know they're similar players, but is it possible to talk about black quarterbacks without making comparisons to other black quarterbacks?

oookay...

I was comparing two players that have very similar skill sets and styles. The fact that they are black is irrelevant to me.

There are just not many, if any, players who have similar skill sets to Armanti that are white.

Maybe you're right -- sorry if I came dangerously close to playing the race card. You're right that they're similar players. I guess my problem is when black quarterbacks that are pocket passers are compared to more mobile players -- but since I guess that's not the case here, I'll concede that they do have similar skillsets.

Oh yeah, no problem man. I know what you mean. I find it annoying as well when people do that.

I remember when people would compare McNabb, Vick and Steve McNair. Idiots. These players had little in common besides race.

      Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.

      Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players

      This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
