Seven of our next ten games are against the Pirates, so there's the potential to pad our record a bit before we face some of hte big boys. Right now we're 2.0GB of the WC, 4.5GB of Philly, but only 0.5GB of Florida for second place in the division.

Jurrjens needs to not be hurt for that be possible. Lowe's making too much money, but he's pitched better than Kawakami has. Medlen needs to stay in the rotation over Kawakami once Jurrjens gets back, but I'm not sure if Bobby can see that.

they would have to take lowe/kawakami or from a $$$ standpoint. or somewone would have to in a 3 team deal. lowe was the dumbest sign ever as a pitcher, but for whatever reason the team almost always hits the opposing pitcher hard for lowe. oswalt is the antithesis of lowe. pitches great but no run support.

and i would be pissed to trade teheran, the best pitcher we have in the minors. we did that for tex and the results were not positive.....

Trading Teheran for Oswalt would be nothing short of pure stupidity. Not to mention we'd have almost $50MM committed to four pitchers on the wrong side of 30. Only way I give up anything of real value, and that's not including Freeman, Teheran, Vizcaino, Delgado, Salcedo or Bethancourt, for Oswalt is if they'd take Lowe in return. We're not going to invest that much money on older pitchers, no way no how.

      I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
