Please give me the odds of that happening for us. Or how many times that really happens. If you can tell me that the odds are better that a 5th, 6th, or 7th round pick gives you production like Holmes then I will shut up.

Tom Brady was a 6th rounder, Michael Turner was a 5th, Trent Cole was a 5th, Hangman was a 5th, Jason Peters, Wes Welker, Josh Cribbs and Ryan Grant were all undrafted and thats only the 2004 and 05 draft.

which would you rather have tank tyler or santonio holmes? i wonder if we could even get a 7th for tyler at this point, that was a move of utter desperation. this is a pickup thats is for a high caliber player thats also an absolute kucklehead (not packman bad but still an idiot).

I disagree, Tank Tyler is good and I would take him over Holmes and I'm a pothead.

Me to :)

At the very least, I find it pointless debating with someone who can make excuses for domestic violence (yeesh) :nonod:

I'm not defending the action but for me to make judgement when I wasn't their is insanity. Just like the Duke lacross case. Maybe it is just me But I didn't meet the perfect women for me utill I was 27. Before then their was alot of trial and error with alot of bad or down right evil women. So I make no judgement untill I know what is going on and the situation.

Yet, you will make judgement on the Panthers FO decisions.

Because I am fairly certain that you were not hanging with Marty Hurney when he may have been talking to the Steelers.

Now divide each player by the 31 player that were picked in that round that didn't do poo. Or how long it took for them too become the players they are today. Agian you are living on the luck factor not on the reality. I can triple if not quad the number of player who were picked in those rounds that are out the league in a years or 2. Not everybody gets lucky.

So first you asked for one example on our team, I gave you a 7th who has made and impact. Then you said not enough so I gave you more. How many examples would be sufficient....?

    • I don't necessarily think he will be moved, I would currently be leaning against that notion. I think a lot will depend on the coaching situation. Carroll certainly can't be thinking about wanting to go through a serious strip down and overhaul, so the longer he plans to remain, the less likely I think Crosby gets moved.
    • I think everyone says Mike Evans because of size, but really they have different strengths and play styles.  Tmac is better on intermediate routes and not nearly as good at contested catches.
    • At this point, it is criminal to go into the 2026 training camp/OTA's with XL penciled in as a #2 WR. The team must upgrade, either through free agency or the draft. If he cannot give 100% effort on significantly less snaps as a #4-6 WR(players like Tremayne have done that consistently) then I don't think you have a player worth rostering beyond the trade deadline. Offensively, we eventually have to upgrade to an NFL starting caliber C. It's been almost the length of time from Gross to Ikey since Kalil retired and we have below average to terrible C play. Love Mays as a BC-esque utility backup but he will never be an above average long term starting C.  The TE room is one of the worst in the NFL but it's a low usage position in this offense, so the investments are likely to be small, if any. I would never expect to see an elite TE in a Dave Canales offense. 100% agree on OL depth. We actually aren't bad there but BC will be gone, Mays is a UFA, Corbett is a UFA and Zavala has been both injured and bad. We have to bolster that depth again or resign guys like Mays and Corbett to keep that depth somewhat stable.
