Anyone know of any websites with this type of footage.. I would imagine NFL would be hard to come by, any will do.

anything related to game film, even if it's edited and breaking down plays..

figure this might be a shot in the dark... shoot.

When you mention it, I'm actually looking to start up a tape trading community on here. I know we can't directly discuss it. I'm about to buy the 2003 super bowl from this dude for about 10 bucks if it's high enough quality.

I've got a decent amount of games from the 08 and 09 seasons. A lot of them are on a hard drive that is on it's last legs so I'm trying to get them off.

What's going to be really hard is getting the games from seasons like 96 or 99.

2003 and 205 will be difficult but not impossible.

If anybody feels like discussing it you can PM if it's against the rules to discuss here.

I've got a sh*tload from highschool and college. But I don't own a VHS tape player anymore.

no VHS here either.. was hoping for some websites.. found a few for H.S. players to post, similar to youtube.. but it's all highlight reels.. not exactly what I had in mind..

not a big deal..

was just wanting to see trends on how safeties play the field and generally learn more defensively..

watching football on TV isn't the same.. no wide-screen and besides, it's still not a full picture.

one of the big things I miss by watching games at home...

I highly recommend putting the data from that hard drive on an online backup server... pretty cheap for individuals and you never have to worry about hard drives again.

hulu isn't what I had in mind, neither was the youtube video.. but I do appreciate the posts..

not sure if it's feasible unless I go the route of ordering VHS tapes from people's websites.. not something I feel like doing, especially since I don't have a VHS.. lol

looks like I might get more out of asking for Madden tips from youtube videos or website videos...

might not be realistic to see a lot of game footage in the form of over field shots where you can dissect a game.

take a camcorder to a bunch of high school games. not sure how much you can really learn from that level of competition, but that's about all i know to tell you.

      Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!

      When the broadcast showed the two benches side by side during the last TV timeout, it was pretty obvious the whole operation is a shitshow. If I was the owner, I would play that clip, with commentary, on the jumbotron at MSG as I fired the coach, GM, President, the whole lot. Bring in your AHL leadership team, wholesale, to finish out the season and start from scratch next year.  Can't fire all the players and fold the season. But, hopefully decapitating the zombie will light a fire under the body and burn out the cancer of the roster. (It makes sense if you don't think about it...) There are obviously issues on the roster. But, you can't have the entire coaching staff completely tuned out with 5 minutes left in a 2 goal game this early in the season. And you can't trust the people that hired them to hire the next staff. If you trust your AHL GM/Scouts, let them run the deadline firesale.   ...     Please don't let the owner read any of this. Because, this poo is hilarous!
