I will say that, as presented, she's all style, little to no substance. Take another thin blonde chick (Kesha, for example) put her in the same package and you get the same result. That's why I hate the music industry of today, because it really is an industry, practically an assembly line.

oh i absolutely disagree with this. kesha is the epitome of a no talent pop star being famous for ONE club song. lady gaga has more than ONE club song; in fact her music (all of her songs) is excellent in any setting, live, radio, etc.

if you dont see a difference between kesha and gaga, i would say you are pretty much hopeless. :D

Madonna owes her "singing" career to MTV. They pimped her like crazy through the 80s and beyond. She's a decent dancer, but a mediocre singer at best. Had she not come to fame in the age of music videos and electronic enhancement she'd never have had the level of fame she does now based on her voice alone.

I'll grant that as major 80s icons go, she's held up better than others, though on less talent. Prince is a bona fide musical genius; unfortunately he also happens to be bat $#!& crazy. Likewise, the late Michael Jackson's vocal and dance talents were off the charts, but bat $#!& crazy didn't even begin to describe his issues.

Her vocals aren't even in the same zip code as ladies like Sarah McLaughlin, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Amy Lee or Christina Aguilera. Those are women that can actually sing, and some can play instruments as well. They blow her out of the water talent-wise, but commercialism being what it is, she's got more fame and more sales than any of them.

Bottom line: Her true talent lies in the ability to market herself. If it weren't for that, she'd probably have lasted roughly as long as Paula Abdul (an equal singer, but a better dancer). She's definitely great at selling herself, but that sort of talent makes for a good politician, PR person or prostitute. It doesn't make a good singer.

PS: Her acting sucks too.

I agree with the Lady Gaga thing.....she has been writing the music for top songs long before people knew who Lady Gaga was. Her story/background is pretty impressive and her motivation and drive is very respectable. She wants to rule the music industry and she is well on her way to doing so and has been long before she became the pop star that people know her as today.

...that probably won't be what he is after...
