What would you have done...

if you called all the shots (other than trading up or down) at the draft for any team? like if you had control over the panthers, who would you have picked at #48 and the rest of the draft? if the draft board had fallen like it did? after the draft, I looked at what some teams should have done in the draft, like the Jaguars should've taken The Golden Calf of Bristol, or the Bills should've take Jimmy Clausen. this is just something kind of fun to do to pass time in the offseason. here is what I would've done if I had control of the Panthers picks...not trades...

2(48)-Golden Tate-WR-Notre Dame

3(78)-Everson Griffen-DE-USC

3(89)-Cam Thomas-DT-North Carolina

4(124)-Eric Norwood-LB-South Carolina

6(175)-Dezmon Briscoe-WR-Kansas

6(198)-Tony Pike-QB-Cincinatti

6(202)-Myron Rolle-SS-Florida State

6(204)-Donovan Warren-CB-Michigan

7(223)-Selvish Capers-OT/OG-West Virginia

7(249)-Brandon Banks-WR/KR-Kansas State

to me, this draft would've gotten at least an A, maybe an A+ draft grade.

I think your draft is more 'certain' than the Panthers draft this year, and I would not have been disappointed had this happened. However, I think your draft has a ceiling of about a B+ when it is all said and done, while the Panthers draft has the potential of being an A+. Fox and company needed a big draft to keep their jobs. They are definitely swinging for the fences.

as much as I cursed at the tv while watching the draft I have come to really appreciate our draft as it is, if clausen is as good as people say he is then he is a good fit behind moore, because who else was better? Cantwell?? im happy with r draft, I think we got steals with norwood and hardy, but I still say we could gotten edwards later in the draft but they must have heard something about someone going after him.

    • At least Rivera got the Super Bowl, and then lost is because he refused to adjust.  Rod’s likely will never get to the Stanley Cup unless the team he coaches is stacked and can overcome Rods weird decisions making.
    • Reddit has one of the most toxically positive fan base. You cannot criticize the team at all. If you do downvoted.
    • We've literally seen him hop around the pocket to survey the field in multiple occurrences. Defenses have this on tape. Cam and QB's like him built the way he was height and strength wise could get by on those natural gifts in their prime. Bryce Young is unequivocally going to have to go above and beyond with his footwork in order to carve out not just a long career but an elite career worthy of a top overall draft selection. We should be able to wholeheartedly agree with one another on that. Intermediate sideline throws without placing the ball out of bounds where the receiver has to contort themselves or make an absurd acrobatic catch for it to be a completion. And yes developing a better chemistry in the deep passing game with his receivers to avoid miscues. Both areas will need to see improvement if the young offense is to develop the way we hope in 2025. And we don't necessarily need to be winning mind you. But development of the supporting cast requires this from Bryce. We have invested a ton of capital in the offensive line. We've invested heavily in WR. We've invested in our backfield. We've invested in TE. We've got a young up and coming offensive minded head coach. The expectation should be for our redzone efficiency to improve significantly. That is not just on Bryce Young. But at the end of the day it will always begin and end with him more often than not. It's always been that way and that's just the nature of the position in this league. And not for nothing but before we drafted Bryce Young nobody was going around here saying we need elite play across the board and top shelf coaching for him to be effective. His biggest selling point was his ability to succeed off script and make something out of nothing. We're certainly going to have to see that come to fruition. Now we wait.
