Early Wednesday morning, a Victoria, B.C., police officer approached a man on an electric scooter who appeared to be slumped over. The female officer woke the man and found he had been drinking, but "was more tired than anything else," the police department reported on its blog.

He was escorted through town by police car - making a quick stop at McDonald's on View for a snack, only to discover he was out of money anyway," the police said
