Felton meeting w/ Knicks, Heat

According to a league source, Felton will visit with both the Knicks and Miami this week. The meetings are expected to take place either Tuesday or Wednesday, or Wednesday and Thursday. Yet as is the case with most of the free-agent crop, Felton nor the teams he's in communication with can truly commit until the Big Three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh finally decide where they're headed.

Because adding a second star would take up so much of the Knicks' salary-cap space, Felton will likely join New York only if James and Wade go elsewhere. If that's not the case, Felton is a front-runner to sign with the Heat. New Jersey, which is also in the running for James and has enough cap space for two max players as well, is another possible option for Felton.

The Nets might consider using incumbent point guard Devin Harris and Felton together, although the notion of paying a combined $15 million approximately for the position is not desirable (Harris will earn nearly $9 million next season and Felton earned $5.5 million last season and is looking for even more). The Knicks and Heat, meanwhile, simply need a point man to run their respective teams. New York has only combo guard Toney Douglas as a possibility, while Miami has underwhelming third-year point guard Mario Chalmers.

    • I agree with OP notion, QBs always get credited for game winning drives even if they do minimal. Just last night Caleb got credited for a GE drive when they basically ran the ball the whole drive and only had to go 36 yards.   And there are drives where Bryce could of had a game winning drive if not for a Legette drop vs Philly or a Chubba fumble vs Tampa
    • You are actually, genuinely comparing Bryce to Jimmy fuging Pickles? Jimmy accounted for 3 touchdowns in his 10 starts in 2010. In Bryce’s 10 games post benching last year, he accounted for 20 touchdowns. Jimmy threw three touchdowns in 2010. Three. Bryce has thrown 10 touchdowns through 6 games. He is currently on track to throw for 3300 yards, 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Wtf are we even talking about anymore. I mean seriously
    • Tepper? The guy that directs the coaches towards goals that he set for them… that guy. He is the one.    I don’t think he ever was going to be expelled from class, they had him come in for garbage time maybe the 2nd week he was benched.  I will say this. People said he wasn’t under pressure the last part of the year when he did better, but he was fighting for his career and that’s pressure. And he saved his career too. I don’t reject him for those kinds of things I reject him for the physical things. I have always brought it down to he has slim margin for error and has to be perfect. People with the tool set have a little fatter margin for error. Why make it harder on yourself? Got nothing to do with hating him.  I am no statistician but game that margin thing out a lot and see how that works.
