Met Lebraun James Last Night!

I swear the following story is absolutely true.

I was in a restaurant last night and met Lebraun James. I was setting in the back and noticed some guys in the next booth. Mr. James had his back to the room and was going pretty well unnoticed. He had on a Miami Dolphins toboggan, of all things. (I will explain why I think he chose that particular head gear latter.) My booth was in the very back. I heard his name mentioned and looked over at the table. He made eye contact and realized I had made him.

He was involved in some sort of interview, but when we made eye contact he excused himself from the interview and spoke to me. I went over to his table and, he was telling the interviewer “I got to give some stuff to my man here. He handed me several key chains with the Heat logo. I kept one and gave out the rest to friends that were there.

The conversation was actually pleasant. I told him I remembered hearing of him when he was in high school and they were raising all the hoopla. I ask him about the blue Nikes. “Man where did you get those blue Nikes?” I was kind of winking when I ask that. He did not come clean and was getting up to leave by then. I told him that I’d play in high heels for $5 million. He smiled and left. Seemed to be a decent chap.

I think the Dolphins hat was a dream defect. I have eaten lots of crab legs but I am telling you that that is the first time t

Speed,

Is English your first language? Just wondering....

-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------

    • How anyone can look at our roster last year that went 8-9 and say this Panthers team this year is going to do worse is insane to me. The only position that you can make an argument that we got worse at is running back. And even that one isn't completely sure, because we don't know what to expect from Jonathan Brooks yet.  The one thing Gettleman got right is that big men allow you to compete. And we have improved both trenches this off season.  Every team in our division lost key components of their teams. Atlanta doesn't even have a quarterback right now. New Orleans overspent on a second running back and drafted an injury prone wide receiver in the top 10. The Buc got lucky with Bain, but he's still a rookie and they lost Mike Evans and Lavonte David, two LEADERS for their team. This division is very winnable.  We have a tough schedule on paper right now. But it's also important to understand that we have added more talent to this team. Last year we did a lot with a lot less. Now we actually have some capability to rise to other teams' talent level.  I see 10-7 as a realistic possibility. I think our floor is 7-10 if injuries start to stack up, but again, our depth is better this year.
    • Other than the Canes this entire playoffs have been offense, offense, offense.
    • At this point I am fine with either team. But I may actually watch the the game seven. Could be fun.
