Panthers' Jon Beason doesn't want Terrell Owens in Carolina

Stupid really...

Despite his willingness to take aLeBron James-type deal, free agent WR Terrell Owens appears to be running out of possible destinations for his services.

The latest to offer up a "no thank you" isn't even a coach or front office type, it's Carolina Panthers star LB Jon Beason.

Beason, in a chat on NFL.com, said "there's no way T.O. could be a Panther."

Beason went on to explain: "Based on the fact that our ownership and coaches believe that the locker room is important and based on TO's history, for whatever reason, he's been a distraction the locker room."

T.O. himself ruled out going to the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this week, based on his contentious past relationship with coach Todd Haley. It will be interesting to see who drops out next.

Anyone for Winnipeg?

I don't get it either. TO has never been accused of rape. He doesn't have a drug or alcohol problem, he has never shot his self in the leg, and I don't believe he ever assaulted a team mate (x2). Sign the guy. He's no more of a distraction than Smitty. Talk about one hell of an offense. WOW.

Lets see how the offense looks after Smitty is suspended 4 games for punching Owens in the face. WOW.

you do realize that there's no reason for them to sign him, right? they are going young and don't want to pay any amount of money for anyone, TO is the opposite of those two requirements

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
