My take on Madden NFL 11

NCAA = last year's Madden.

Not this year. Played the demo and it sucks compared to NCAA 11. Same regurgitated Chris Collinsworth garbage presentation. Same mechanics, although they did fix the WR running out of bounds. Same crap, and then they add some stupid game flow crap which should be an insult to any football gamer. You are a freaking retard if you need the damn game to tell you what play to run. They waste time on the wrong improvements. The graphics are still glitchy on the finished demo and the movements look unatural, especially when the defender is breaking up a pass. Who gives a horses ass about someone buying a freaking hotdog or a coach squirting gatoraid in someones mouth? I will not waste my money this year. I am glad they gave a free demo because that saved me $65.00. They need to completely retool this franchise, fire everyone that has been working on it and bring in football fans that are gamers to help the programmers rebuild it.

I haven't bought madden since 2005 so most of the stuff they've been working on is new to me. The game looks really great and "feels" right.

I played 06 through 08 and didn't buy them because of how poorly it felt. It's sad that it's taken them 6 years to feel correct but since I haven't bought any of them the last few years I'm cool with buying it even if it's not a big improvement over 10.

I think we're going to be REALLY good in 11. The Run blocking is excellent, the double team animations are great and if you have a vet FB you can depend on him to execute his blocks too. They took out the sprint which makes it a lot simpler to perform stiffarms, jukes, etc.

We have the best RBs in the game and the line is very strong in run blocking. With Clausen we'll have a great QB to build around.

If Shonn Greene is as beastly as he is on All-Pro then I think I'll have us rushing for around 200 yards a game easily. Stewart is pretty similar in the ratings.

DB's still drop very easy INTs and the ball vibrates around when they are a few guys bunched up. I might be able to fix that with sliders.

I hope you can make your own formations but I won't hold my breath. I want to make a 2000 Ravens 4-3. I also want to play around with 5 down lineman in nickle packages.

I hate that you can look at the stats in the demo I wanted to see how realistic the production would be for stuff like tackles, pancake blocks, etc. It's hard to get your lineman to progress when they pancake a guy once a game.

I'll probably go up to 7:00 min quarters with no accelerated clock.

I liked the gameflow idea because it would save me some time so I could play 2 games or more a day. But the coach is boderline retarded. They call saftey blitzes but I don't have enough time to get him on the LOS. Using gameflow I barely have any time to set up the d-line or LBs as well.

It will probably take a lot of time to set up the gameflow properly. Hopefully I can get it working right because I like the proposition of 30 min games.

From playing Madden 11 demo the game felt more fluid and natural. But they really screwed us all with the new kicking meter and different controls for audibles. So, from a gameplay perspective its still borderline good - not enough to whine over but not perfected.........yet.....yet......yet......yet.....yet.....yet....madden 2052....yet.....yet....yet.....yet.
