He missed half of last season. He's rusty, plus that second holding penalty was a little iffy. He's fine.

The second holding penalty was bs. I can see why they called it, mostly because in general, all refs suck.

I would chalk this up to Gross getting the jitters out of his system from not playing half of last year and MM's snap count. Gross didn't play with Moore at the end of last year, and yeah he has been practicing with him but game time can be different. If he is still racking up 3-4 penalties a quarter in NY then I will be concerned.

His false starts are nothing new. Hes a pro though and I'm not worried whatsoever.

The announcers during the game pretty much said expect more holding calls this season thanks to the new ref placement. Translation: linemen hold all the time, now they will get caught more. So...Gross will need to tweek his style I'd imagine. Shouldn't be much of an issue, dude is money.
