For all the people that say Smitty makes Delhomme

Or learn to not lock on to Smitty so much.

How does this in anyway involve Smith? Is he going to practice with Jake at not throwing him the ball? If this was what you meant, then say it originally. The original wording blaming Smith for Jake's ineptitude is one of the most retarded posts defending Jake I've ever seen.

Surely you can understand the faulty logic in your statement. Forcing a ball somewhere it should not be is always the quarterback’s fault. You can’t blame Steve Smith just because he is so good he makes Jake throw to him.

That would be like me blaming delicious reuben sandwiches for my weight problem. They are so tasty they made me eat them!

(I don’t like reubens nor do I have a weight problem, but I think you catch my drift.)

Well the law agreed with the dumb person who sued mcdonalds about their weight problem lol I think it's hilarious.

For the record the premises in this thread don't add up to the conclusion. This is a poor argument.

The fact that Smitty can still look at Jake and not want to punch him in the face after Saturday's performance... is one of the FEW reasons why I think we ought to keep him! Smitty's two cents go a long way in my mind... and he has since stuck up for Jake!!! Call him crazy... uhh

Smitty makes this team.... The sad part is Ryan Leaf would look like a superstar with Smitty on his team!! Who can't win with a guy who literally goes after the ball, rather than wait for the ball to come to him.

When you throw the ball up in the air and count on somebody else to make a play for you and not you --- don't be shocked when you almost set an NFL playoff record for interceptions.

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
