Ok I've Been Negative But I See The Positive Light Now

Idk, but watching Steve interview on our site being so calm and collected made me think a little bit and not be so irate and upset as before. The D Im not worried about, this is mainly for the Offense.

Getting hammered like that I think will make them work even harder, and I got a feeling they will get better. Even the coaches will improve so they wont repeat that performance. You fall and rise together

Only negative really is Matt injury. Now he wont get a chance to correct those mistakes he made cause he wont be able to play. Now we gotta insert a rookie and we'll have to run successfully in order to perform well. On that flip side, our o-line will have to play hard and open some holes against a Tampa D that we can rip with the run

Hey I still got the same feelings on Fox, and its still put Goodson as 3rd string

good post...i still have faith in moore. its not like the giants are the bucs or lions. but what im worried about, is jimmy getting the start cause of moores injury, and he will excel against a weak team at home against tampa bay, when moore could do just as well. then when jimmy plays a good team, like New orleans or so, he will not do to well. i just dont have faith in jimmy, and moore just had a bad game. last year in 5 games he played great. he cant always play great...and yesterday was just his bad game...jake had them, even when he was good..

Yesterdays game reminded me of the bucs game of '08. Yesterday provided so many opportunities to take control of the game and we could not get the ball in the endzone or capitalize on turnovers. I have to chalk this one up as a bad game but there are some bright spots to take into next week. The sky will only be falling if we lose to the bucs.

If you rewatch that game it is really crazy how the Giants really did not want to win that game.

So many things happened that should/could have turned the game back into our favor in such a short amount of time in the 4th quarter.

3 INTs in the end zone will not happen in every game, and even with those we had 18 points.

We could easily put up 24 per game.

After the mandatory 24 hour cool down, I'm left with one question.

If had lost 31-30, would we be angry? Or, what about 7-6? Because last I checked all that goes down is "Loss". In two weeks I think we can start making snap judgments.

I'm always mad after we lose, but 31-30 would show that our offense was a bit more competent.

Which would give me more to look forward to as we progress through the season.(need a pass rush though)

The way we played, regardless of the outcome, made me very angry. Actually more sad than angry...

The only thing that made me really angry was the (second to last) drive where we moved the ball down the field nicely, and then once inside the 10 we didn't call a single running play. I get that we had a sense of urgency, but isn't that why we have our backs?

mandatory cool down sounds like a good idea for everyone. we'd see a lot less threads about clausen and smoothies right now.

    • Good game so far.  Solid trench battles, two young well built defenses, and my 2 fave coaches.  Stafford is really damn good.  SEA OL is overperforming.
    • Okay then. To me that means Russell Wilson was Coryell. Because I see the proposition completely in the Russell Wilson punt/pass put it up for grabs mold. Count on the receiver to catch it or knock it down.    And the reason I thought that was the intent with Legette is the abysmal downfield game from 2023. As in, there was barely any.   I look at it as if… the result of a deep attempt isn’t as important as the opponent understanding they have to defend it. So I was all for some 50/50s. Coryell, Walsh whoever.  I do favor the Coryell approach personally but also very much value versatility, it doesn’t have to be strict. Just make the defense defend the whole field, however you do it. It has to include downfield throws.
    • Sold, or in the process of being sold. Could be either way. Consider this for a second... Last season, our defensive coordinator steered what many have called the worst defense in NFL history.  Canales would absolutely have been justified in firing him, and no one would have blamed him if he had.  But what did he do? He gave Evero another chance to come back and prove he could be better. Does that tell us something about Canales? I think it does. Now apply that to Bryce 😕
