In Matt's defense...Rosario's dropped long ball.

While I am no longer going to push for Matt to get more chances, I do want to say this much. It wasn't ALL him yesterday. If Rosario had caught that perfectly thrown pass, we would have tied the game and probably not have fallen behind by two touchdowns.

People seem to only want to remember the overthrown ball that came much later, but even that, may have not be overthrown, as even the commentators were pointing out the receiver hesitated gettign up to full speed.

Not to mention our O-line just sucked.

Whatever the staff decide for next week is fine with me. IMO, they turned this QB problem into a clusterf**k and are hurting BOTH QB's with their indecisiveness. No matter who they put in there, it simply can't get any worse.

If they put Matt, well that's good cause at least he gets a chance to prove himself one more time and gives us some consistency.

If Matt's really done, and Jimmy starts, then that's good cause we can speed up the Clausen project.

Whatever they decide though, they need to freaking show they mean it. If Moore comes in, and wins...stick with Moore. If Moore comes in and loses, then deffinitely permanently bench Moore and start Jimmy. If Jimmy comes in, win or lose...stick with Jimmy. Do NOT go back to Moore after his first loss.

In Rosario's defense the ball was a little overthrown.

No it wasn't, even he admitted it. That was a perfectly thrown ball, that slipped out of his hands and the defender had already slipped and fallen behind him. Were we even watching the same game?

Holding his thumb and index finger less than an inch apart, tight end Dante Rosario said the Panthers were "this close" to beginning to click on offense.

He said the second-quarter pass from Moore that glanced off his fingertips was emblematic of the thin margin separating a well-timed offense from one that is misfiring.

"I thought I timed it up right. When I reached out it just went off my fingertips. And that's one of those things where it could go either way," Rosario said. "Half a step quicker and the ball's caught. Half a step slower, I don't even get my hands on it. The plays are there to be made."

PantherFanForLife are you really BillsFanForLife?? His posts and yours seem to be close to the same style. Also you have similar Names?? Plus all those IMOs in your posts. The only difference is he would put more IMOs or IMHOs in his posts. He was not a bad guy so don't take offense to my question, just curious.

No I'm not and have no idea who he is, nor do I have any interest whatsoever in the Bills.

I'm a Panthers fan first and Patriots fan second. I couldn't name you the Bill's starting QB if you paid me.

I don't think many Bills fans can name their QB other than "That Mother F@&Ker!" And we think we have a QB issue...lol

We don't have a QB issue. I honestly think between Matt and Clausen one of these guys can pull it off. I think we have a coaching, O line, and receiver issue.

Whoever Fox plays is fine with me. But if he is going to go to Clausen, then NOW is the time.

Don't put Matt in there next Sunday, and then take him out if he has a bad game, and put Clausen in with just one week against the Saints! Get him in there for the Bengals game and he may have a chance at winning there and can give us a chance against the Saints.

Pulling Matt after this Sunday and going to Clausen is just going to make things worse. And it's going to give Clausen one hell of a starting assignment.

Either do it now or don't do it. But whatever he does he should do it quick and stick with his guns. Fox's statements about finding out who can play are retarded. Two games in the regular season.....you don't know as a coach who can play? You are STILL trying to find out?

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
