Someone Asked Me to Sit Down Yesterday

So, I was in Section 547, row 25. Almost all the way to the very top. Some jackass thought it was necessary to have the guy behind me tap me on the shoulder so I could turn around and have him make a motion like I was in the way (because the seats aren't STADIUM seating or anything) and he just couldn't ever see the game unless I sat down.

A. I'm freaking 5 ft tall and like 110 lbs. If you cant see over or around me, suck it.

B. Its section 527. We aren't in the club seats.

C. The defense was on the field.

D. fug you.

I cant tell you how long I have been going to games. I have sat in club, down in the 100s, up in the 500s and I don't know if anyone has ever asked me to sit down.

But, its the freaking 500s. Not like you paid any more than $40 for your tickets and I was looking UP at him because the stadium is at a gd angle, hence, why you should not have had a problem with me standing up.

I just turned around and when he asked I said, "REALLY" and he said yes so I responded with, You know where we are right? This is a Panthers game. Just turned back around. He didnt say anything to me for the rest of the game.

How old are these people asking someone to sit down?

I dont know I would say the guy was in his 30s. Panthers fan. Could care less if he wants me to sit down. He can suck it. Especially at that point in the game where we really started to suck, hes lucky I didnt jump back there and hit him.

My friend Katy was with me, who is like 5' 11", she offered to switch seats with me and stand the entire rest of the game. Good for her considering she doesn't understand football very much, but she still offered to take one for the team. I was also standing and eating Superbowl Beef Nachos haaha.

What a dick.

Panther stadium staff take things too far on the simple stupid stuff. Sit down? stfu.

On the other extreme this guy near us in 539 was so drunk and loud, his wife and then finally his daughter left him there after trying to get him to shut up. Six cops and handcuffs later, I lol'd when I thought about who he'd call to bail him out.

Pretty sure I saw that go down, at least some of it. What row were they in? There were 3 cops up there for at least 20 minutes. It looked like everyone was looking down and this 1 person but we couldn't tell what was going on. Looked like the cops were watching more of the game than anything.

    • I think Dillon can be what Eric Shelton was supposed to be.
    • Yeah, no way he's an option at 19. We could honestly probably get him in the 3rd round.
    • I mean, on some level I get it. They want to know 100% for sure before they either extend Bryce or move on. I imagine the logic behind it is that if they add another weapon and Bryce doesn't show he can be a franchise guy then we'll be in great position to draft another QB and slot him into an offense with 3 legit WRs, a good TE and a solid OL. I don't think it's as simple as the front office trying to "justify" an extension for Bryce. If they're not sold on Bryce then they know paying him big money is a recipe for disaster and at that point just trying to please Tepper isn't going to save their jobs in the long run if they're stuck with a QB we can't win with. I think Morgan and Canales are just as uncertain on Bryce as the fanbase is. They see his limitations, but they also see flashes where he has managed to overcome them and look like a potential franchise QB. I think they're trying to avoid Bryce becoming the next Baker Mayfield or Sam Darnold and want to do everything they can to give him what he needs to succeed so that if/when the time comes to move on from him nobody can say "the Panthers were the problem" if he goes elsewhere and succeeds. And if we do end up having to bring in another QB in a year or two if nothing else they will have the pieces around them as well and can hit the ground running. I also think drafting a WR in the 1st this year would be as much about missing on XL as it would trying to justify extending Bryce. Personally I think we need to just count ourselves lucky to have landed a legit #2 WR as an UDFA in Coker (which helps negate the miss on XL in the 1st) and try to find a good slot receiver in free agency or the 2nd-4th rounds while focusing on defense and the OL in the 1st round.
