I need new gaming PC

To me the best thing about building your own is never having to cough out $1000 at a time. The first computer I ever got was built for me and I was shown how to put everything together. Since then I've never spent more than $500 at a time on upgrades(usually a couple hundred at a time).

Right now I'm looking around for a new mobo / cpu. I have a great power supply, case, hard drives and a decent video card that I can get a few more years out of. So all I need is a mobo, cpu and ram. After a while I'll just upgrade my video card.

The only downside is that you never really get that big 'wow' factor by upgrading everything at once. But you'll always have a decent machine.

That's what I recommend.

But if someone doesn't know the difference between SATA and IDE or which one is better, they should probably skip out on building a pc themselves.

Recommending that someone build a pc themselves without knowing the difference between ddr3 and ddr5 is just flat out bad advice.

I got very lil time as is... As long as my pc can handle the lastest games I could of care less how it performs. Yes, I want a fast pc but do I need ddr5? Prob not... I'm not trying to download 5 porn movies and play a game same time.

Then your potential is untapped.

I'm with you. For some people a prebuilt is absolutely the best option. New power supply, new video card, and you're ready to tear up some games.

I just have this tick that goes off when people ask for pc gaming advice on a football forum get the knee jerk response "build your own".

If people could build their own pc, they wouldn't be here asking for advice, they'd be on Tom's Hardware or something.

I will spend no more than 5-7 hours a week playing games. I could of build me a pc if I wanted too but between my job, gf, and other crap it's just better to buy a prebuild one. I got a pretty good laptop that I do most of my work on... so I'm getting a pc strictly for gaming.

    • Hospital balls are hospital balls.  I mean, someone just posted a NFL QB (who is pro Bryce) breaking down that exact throw where Bryce threw him into the S hit.  It was a hospital ball….and now Renfow got the rib injury to go along with it.   the Bryce defending is just on a complete different planet at this point.
    • Man that was a QUICK pivot from being a victim and complaining about alleged insults to calling people shitheads and bitchy and going on an awkward tangent about sexual tension. I'll let this just speak for itself and let the mods sort it out.
