The Big Cat...

should sit down and have a talk with pep. i think they both should talk about the direction the team is going. before i get flamed or whatever hear me out first. JR should see what pep is thinking straight from his mouth. if pep truly has a problem with the defensive scheme or the direction the team is going and wants to be somewhere else so be it. franchise him and trade him so we at least both sides would benefit. i'm not saying fire fox for the sake of 1 player not being happy but if it truly is a scheme thing, and JR does in fact want to fire fox and co then maybe that's what pep needs to hear to change his mind. let's say for the sake of argument that JR wants to fire fox but is waiting for whatever reason and bring in a coach who's known for a scheme that pep is comfortable with then all this talk about him wanting out could be put to rest.

i wish it would just end now, so I can find out where he's going and what we're getting.

i'm with ya but else would we have to talk about? it's a long offseason. nothing else can be said that hasn't been said about fox and co and this is a nice change of pace. haha

I am sure Mr. Richardson feels betrayed / hurt a little right now..... I hope he channels his resentment towards Fox and Trgovac for pretty much orchestrating the best defensive player we have ever had into no longer having the desire to play for his hometown. You never hear guys like Dawkins or Ray Lewis say that about their respective clubs. The guy was a hometown talent, loved by many in the region and helped sell Jerseys and tickets.... Mr. Richardson seems to take a paternal figure for many of his players so I am confident that he feels as if he is losing a son that he raised for 7 years.

Actually, I think Big Cat is one of the reasons Peppers is set on leaving. I think he was embarrassed and offended when JR called him out at Minter's retirement press conference, and I don't think he has forgotten.

This ain't the damn hallmark channel.... All the Big Cat did was when a Defensive Leader for our team retired, he looked at a underachieving loof and asked him to be a leader... I guess that it is the big cat's fault that he did not realize that football leaders are born (Beason) and not bought (Peppers).

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
