The scouting department needs a raise. The last few drafts have been. collectively, the best the franchise has put together. They need to keep those guys in tact.

If you're talking about the college scouting staff led by Don Gregory, I'd agree.

The pro scouting staff led by Mark Koncz? Not so much.

Yes, I was referring to Gregory and the college scouting. Which is why I noted the drafts. I agree with you on "pro scouting". Our free agent acquisitions have been questionable at best. Although, I'm praying for an Asomugha!!!!!

Don Gregory is a lifetime scout. Mark Koncz scooched over from the ticketing department.

Gregory's been worlds better in that job than Tony Softli was. Looking at how their drafting has improved, you'd think they might take the hint and get someone of similar pedigree to replace Koncz.

      I mean he's not wrong lol. Yes fans who are honest with themselves know this, the casual "facebook fans" who slob rod and celebrate getting crushed in the finals will still see this year as a sucess when we make the ECF and get bounced in 5 or less.  I mean for a while I understood the whole don't burn assents, but this year there was zero excuse not too, we have a glut of talent on the wings to the point that an NHL top 6 ready guy like Nadeu is down in the AHL scoring at will. 3 firsts in two years, numerous other talented prospects in the prospect pool, more cap space than any other team in playoff position (WAY MORE THAN ANY REAL CONTENDERS) and on top of all of that we had the top record in the East (its likely we get home ice at least until the finals) yet we still have a fatal flaw in a 160 lb 5'8 "2C" and no goalie depth......   The Aves got Kadri to he there freaking 3C.... for me it didnt even have to be Trochek or Kadri, a big physical center who gets to the front of the net and scores like SCHENN would have had me extatic.
