If we end up 0-5 going into the bye week, we NEED to fire/cut SOMEBODY!

...at the very least as a statement. I doubt it will happen, but it should. Davidson, Fox, Jarrett...your pick. From Davidson, there are two things I saw that pissed me off immensely

1.) We stopped running screens after the 1st one worked well

2.) We kept running the same pass pattern with Gettis when Clausen was struggling to hit Gettis with it. The defense almost picked it off on that same pattern (Thanks to Gettis for breaking it up)

I actually would choose Davidson as the most likely to get the pink slip. If Steve Smith is out for an extended amount of time, I can see us keeping Jarrett around. Also, Fox probably won't get cut no matter what he does.

A statement needs to be made though.

If we fire Fox or a coordinator, then we'll just promote up another scrub from our dysfunctional system. Just ride it out and try to get some actual talent from outside the org once the season is over.

Seriously, my nightmare is Fox getting canned and Davidson, Meeks or Skipper becoming our HC.

That is literally what will happen.

    • Outside of both having very good straight line speed, I don't see much in common. Chark was mostly a play action Chuck it deep type of receiver. Brazzell, while raw with route running, is fully capable of running most routes. He is way better at using his body to shield defenders from the ball than chark and does a better job attacking the ball and creating a wide catch radius. Agree Brazzell will need to prove he can beat the press and I imagine he will see a lot of it when he is on the field. I still think he has quite a bit of development to go through (particularly with his route running, press beat techniques, and reading zone coverage), so I don't expect to see him on the field much this year (barring injuries)
    • Probably closer to a PK. Can't see -2.5 for us
    • I will be shocked if proctor makes it as a tackle. He is way too slow moving laterally and seems to have zilcho burst when the ball is snapped. Guy can easily be a dominant IOL though
