  1. Pretty cool with the full circle. Congrats to Dan and here’s hoping for a quick turnaround.
  2. Bill O’Brien. Experienced coach and has had success with Bryce before.
  3. Early, small sample size, blah blah. But at this point, Bryce Young makes Teddy Bridgewater look like Cam Newton. And by all appearances, we’re going to continue to mistime and stagger our GM and coaching hires yet again when we kick our current dipshit out the door at the end of the season. Edit: he is also possibly the lowest energy player I have ever seen. Keeping calm and collected is good, but he’s borderline catatonic out there.
  4. Right, the outdated model for QB evals which is the only reason Parcells gets summoned yearly any more. Be a three-year starter Be a senior in college Graduate from college Start 30 games Win 23 games Post a 2-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio Complete at least 60% of passes thrown So, Parcells says do not draft Joey B, T-Law, Allen or some rando named Mahomes. Also Bryce I guess.
  5. 1. Young 2. BPA at CB/DE 3. BPA at CB/DE (depending on 2) 4. BPA IOL/WR/TE
  6. I really want to grab a TE since that's a strength of this draft but TE and WR were patched up to serviceable so I'm not sure that's where we spend early. I think CB has to be considered if we don't grab someone decent in FA, we are one injury (from someone who has been unlucky there already) from disaster at that position as it stands. I'd love to bolster G as well, but maybe not in r2. Not gonna cry if we grab someone sexy at WR or especially TE, but man we need help at some other spots also.
  7. His beard better be a contract stipulation. You can't send him out there without that magnificent fuging thing.
  8. This is 100% on point. We're playing this safe and looking to be respectable again. Everyone in this thread knows Reich and/or Wilks won't win poo ultimately, but we'll be decent with a WC contender ceiling. Which is the goal I guess, just with an offensive lean instead of a defensive one if we decide to go with Reich. People do need to stop using the "he didn't have a QB" excuse with Reich though, since he wasn't some innocent bystander in that. He stumped for his bible-buddy Wentz and caused the Colts to give up a 1st and 3rd there, then had to apologize so as not to get canned immediately for it. But really, whatever. This orgs whole identity is tied up in being a .500ish team that over-performs from time to time. It doesn't really matter that much. We'll improve from the Rhule years back into our normal lane pretty much immediately.
  9. hurney is terrible and if he had traded away a second round pick (plus more, haha) for lolnold this place would be collectively howling for blood. because man-bib thinks something something moxie something, it's all good though.
  10. this trade was stupid enough to jolt my memory.
  11. dumb teams run by dumb people do dumb things. maybe next year we can take a chance on revitalizing taysom hill for two seconds and two thirds.
  12. Watching Brown grow up this season. He deserves a ton of props for improving from his terrible preseason.
  13. Coleman has saved our ass several times now. Good job sir.
  14. You know the league/ESPN are pissed about this shitshow being on MNF.
  15. In 2012, I didn't want us to draft a LB in the first and argued quite a bit with P55 and CRA about why it would be a mistake. I wanted Dontari Poe, Michael Brockers or Fletcher Cox. Additionally, I was upset when we chose a hybrid Safety over Derrick Johnson in 2005. I obviously know wtf I'm talking about with Linebackers and deserve to be handsomely rewarded. @MatthewEarnest
  16. Not really. In all honesty, this probably caps our season at 7-9 wins, unless Funchess absolutely explodes or we trade for someone good. I don't think either is happening and it's not fair to expect that from a raw, second round WR. Look at this poo: Ginn Cotchery Funchess Brown Bersin Boykin Byrd/other dude we just signed/tackling dummy That's brutal. We'd be laughing at Tampa if that was their lineup. We need to hope we have a running game that doesn't require piggybacking from our QB this year. Feel terrible for Kelvin and I really hope people don't shred Funchess if he doesn't have a KB-like rookie season.
  17. Why do you guys suck so badly at drafting?
  18. Shaq is a good player but I wasn't huge on that pick. I've had a raging boner since round 2 though. I love our draft overall.
  19. I love the pick and the fact that we did pretty ok for ourselves in value to get him. I think he winds up starting at RT pretty soon. As someone mentioned above, running to the right is going to be a poo ton easier going forward.
  20. Sad about losing the 3rd round pick but otherwise pretty stoked. Glad we're not sitting on our hands in regards to the WR position.
