damn

lol...good reaction

but on a serious note, there were a few of us who rewatched the games each week and posted about him only playing a couple snaps a game. His effort hasn't been there for a while. Often times it looks like he is tip-toeing through traffic just to avoid injury or getting tangled up.

the peppers fan boys flamed us weekly for not sipping the coolaid....however its good to see many seeing the light now

According to the NFL network the deal we offered peppers last year was worth 90 million dollars.

Julius Peppers turned down $90 million from the Panthers. Should the Panthers follow the track of the Patriots, who franchised Matt Cassel with the hope of getting draft choices for him? Are we about to see financial Armageddon with Peppers, Albert Haynesworth and DeMarcus Ware? On the surface it doesn’t make sense for Peppers to turn it down but at a closer review, it does make sense if the Panthers were not willing to guarantee as much as $40 million. Here’s the math these guys are looking at: The franchise number for Peppers and Ware is around $14 million. Add 10 percent to that number for the next year’s franchising and you have $30 million in virtual guaranteed money in two years.

I'm not going to bag on Fox. I still believe. That being said, trade Pep to the lions for Calvin Johnson and next year's first round draft pick. Sign Garcia to a 2yr contract. Go get The Golden Calf of Bristol(he will not be a bust, he has smitty type heart, he will make it. If not you got another LB or DE at 6'5" 235/240) next year and have him mentor under Garcia for a year. Keep Jake as back up for a couple of years. Get rid of Josh. Keep Moore. Get Bly, FIRE Lucas. MOVE Gamble to free safety. Draft new corner in 2nd round(since we have no first round). Note to Fox. Watch Armanti Edwards tapes. When he comes out he will make one heckuva return specialist.

Wow thats f*cking stupid.

A. Calvin for Pep is a near equal trade

B. Garcia f*cking sucks and is no better than Jake

C. Gamble to FS is f*cking dumb, we addressed that last year

Other than that your golden.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
