So know we have 2 young QBs with no confidence

I know we have no receivers but I felt Matt Moore was pulled too soon. Now we are in a situation with both young starters looking over their shoulders with every bad pass.

I have yet to see a pass that Clausen can make that Moore can't. And several that Moore can that Clausen can't. Clausen's arm was a big question mark coming in and it's obvious that he has to "heave" the ball with a lot of body to get a pass out to the sidelines. He also tends to drop back into the pocket and instead of watching his reads, tucks the ball as the pocket forms and starts to scramble. He just isn't ready. Not his fault.

On a bright side Jeff King got another false start to start a drive and Jordan Gross didn't. To my knowledge.

Discipline seems to once again be lacking with this team. Poor tackling, stupid penalties and once again the worst special teams in the league.

Just my thoughts. I hope we can keep at least Stewart or D Will but its not looking great.

Cheers!

I expected this to happen once he was drafted... a lot of us were. After 08, I didn't expect this situation to happen, mainly cause I expected for us to go hard after a receiver.

One of the worst situations to have with a team, a young team at that, is a QB controversy. Smh

They should complete a couple of passes to ugly receivers to get their confidence back.

Agree. I don't know if there has ever been a more pathetic core of receivers without Smitty on the field. Would be nice to have Otah back too.

I felt today they should have stayed with the wildcat. Why not? You obviously won't score with a conventional method.

Made a prediction before the game that we wouldn't pass for 50 yards. Everyone said I was crazy but I think if that wasn't spot on it had to be close.

I didn't see the Bradshaw comment but kind of remember hearing it. My main concern is that he seems to "tuck and run" almost every pass.

I said after game 2 that it was too early to start Clausen. He isn't seeing things quick enough. He needed to hold the clip board a little longer. The proper transition would have been to let Moore start through this game and if he doesn't turn it around start Jimmy after the bye week. Today he was too quick to check it down and appeared to play scared.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
