Rodger Goodell is killing the NFL.

Awesomeness!!

Look, I understand player safety, but this is ridiculous. Fining a guy 50K for a LEGAL hit is complete garbage. Players get hurt. Players know they will get hurt. Fans know players know the players will get hurt. So when one gets hurt, why are the higher ups who have never touched a football in their either life's so outraged?

Helmet to helmets are one thing, but the Dante Robinsons hit on Desean Jackson was 100% legal. Not only that, but awesome...and the NFL wants to take that away. They mind as well stop playing altogether. Matter of fact, send the Pro Bowlers to the world cup, because the NFL is slowly becoming soccer.

Trying to get rid of hard hits in the NFL is like the NBA banning dunks, Baseball banning fastballs, and hockey...well hockey is terrible, but you get the point.

Rodger Goodell is terrible, and hopefully during the next collection bargaining agreement they agree to ban him from the NFL.

First rigging the Super Bowl, now this!!!

We should care more about the players, but the players get hurt all of the time. If we're that worried about the players, then we should stop playing football. From Pee Wee to High School to College to the Pros. Ban the sport in America if we're that worried, because regardless, people will get hurt. I'm more worried about a guy getting hit in his back, or in his knees.

    • The team with the smallest starting qb in the league just lost its LT.
    • I don’t know what the team is thinking but I tend to agree on LOT. I have said before that it pushes the upgrades we hoped to make all down a rung on the priority ladder.    It feels like… you have this great vacation planned and right before you are about to go, you lose your job. You still gonna take that vacation or are you going to pay bills?
    • I think the Bevell hire has more to do with adding actual veteran head coaching experience to the staff than anything else. But I do wholeheartedly agree that the obsession in general with Seattle needs to come to an end. I mean we plucked the one guy there to be our GM who turned out to be our worst GM in franchise history in just a few short years and that's really saying something given our history there. Clearly trying to mimick Seattle in any way has not been productive. As far as Idzik many of us have asked the same question but at this point in time it doesn't really matter anymore because Canales is either going to lead this franchise to a winning record or he will be shown the door.
