Thread for the people who stuck by Matt Moore

We heard it every week.. 'career backup' and for whatever reason they liked to use homophobic slurs against us. They completely ignored Moore's performances prior to this season.

Come on Clausen fans. Come spread your career backup stuff and suggest this is another Moore love thread because it is just like all the other ones were.

I summed up Clausen's performance against the Bears quite well when I accused him of playing like a coward. A lot of people didn't understand the critique. Well if you didn't understand it, watch how Moore played the QB position today. Yeah he had one of the dumbest turnovers I've ever seen in my life. Who cares? Football is not a game of absolutes. Gettis dropped a TD, Smith fumbled and got a silly penalty. Show me a man who's never made a mistake and I'll show you a man who's never taken a risk.

Go Moore!

I would say I stuck by him. He was way off his game in the first 2 weeks though. Keep in mind that we did just play the 49ers and he had better protection today than he would against other teams. Still we can credit him with the best QB performance of the season today and the leader of our first win. We are still 1-5.

This has to be the most predictable thread of the day.

Panthers off a bye week with fresh receivers beat 1-5 49rs who had their defense on the field the whole game after their quarterback got hurt.

I'm not taking anything away from Moore - he overall did play well today and put up some nice numbers. Just find all of this funny.

YEAH YOU BETTER NOT TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM MOORE.

He's the MASTER CAT! He tamed our young Panthers and then ignited their fire and led them into a ferocious battle against the 49ers. We emerged victorious and now all of our young Panthers can enjoy the night by feasting on the miner meat.

    • This guy pre-draft was saying he could take or leave football, and he seems to have been playing with that mentality ever since lol.
    • Agreed, another safety would be nice. Bud Clark, TCU, is one I would like to see us take a flyer on later in the draft, if he stays healthy and we don't take someone earlier. I just really hope we draft a solid C this year. Tired of seeing us cycle through average to below average players in that area.
    • Bryce doesn't like throwing into the middle of the field unless the play broke down or it's set up to give him a passing lane.  So because of this issue, most of the passing offense has to be outside the numbers towards the boundary. So you see him throw a lot of dump offs, swing routes, short side out routes, comebacks or deep balls outside the numbers using the boundary as protection of an interception.    Pretty easy for a NFL defense to see this and scheme against it.  All you have to do is run a shell cover 2 deep dime, LB plays a hook underneath, take the flat away with a blitz/flat zone option for the two inside DB's, outside two DB's play hook zone underneath and carry anything deep.    Pretty much what NO ran to take away Rico while also limiting What Bryce can do as well.
