Seriously, Trgovac contract extension?

This year we were 18th, in 07 we were 16th, in 06 we were 7th, in 05 we were 3rd, in 04 we were 20th...So he had two good years under Turdovac and we are going to lose a centerpiece to our D....its just not working anymore I want a consistent top 10 defense with the players we have on this team.

Godfrey - 3rd rounder

He had Jenkins who was a 2nd rounder as well and did nothing with him. It is the unit we have invested in the most and we see no consistent results.

Listen, I know you guys are freaking out, and you want to blame someone (Fox, it seems). I couldn've seen us make a change, but I don't think it was a vital change-or-fail situation, either. We've got a lot of room for change, a lot of room for improvement on staff given that we let go 2/3rds of the defensive assistants. I don't expect to make a dent in the irrationality but I'm not ready to give up on 2009 before 2008's season has wrapped.

The Panthers are expected to retain defensive coordinator Mike Trgovac.

Trgovac has reportedly been offered an extension and is expected to sign it shortly. Carolina's whole defensive staff save LBs coach Ken Flajole is slated to return next season. The Panthers finished 18th in total defense in 2008.

That being said, I'm sure Fox and Trgovac will work together and get the defense back to playing well. How they are going to do this without much of a d-line, I'm not sure ~ will have to at least wait out the off-season to see how that part changes.

This whole thread is irrational, ridiculous, and just plain stupid. I'm glad some of you don't actually own a franchise. You would probably end up having 10 coaches over the course of 4 years, with 53 different coordinators. Completely ridiculous.

Wanting to keep all the coaches (didn't Sunsieri and Flajole leave because they wanted to?) tells me the staff feels it is a player problem not a coaching problem.
