We're going to run the ball and beat the Rams on Sunday.

Assuming D. Will is back.

After this past Sunday's passing explosion what are the chances that the Rams are going to continue stacking the box on us?

Sure maybe they think it was a fluke, and they may still want to test us, but if that coach has any common sense, no way is he going to look at a tape where we threw for 308 yards and completely ignore the passing. If they do, I say bring it on.

But my gut tells me some teams, especially teams like the Rams are going to back off a bit now. That's gotta open up our run game. I see them trying a couple of times in the first quarter, but if Montana Moore pulls a repeat and burns them again over a few plays, they will back off for the remainder of the game. That's the first and most important thing. We need to come out passing in the first quarter and re-establish a continuation in our passing thread.

Which brings up the next point. Not wanting to get too far ahead, but this is going to be the key to winning other games going forward. I'm going to give Fox some credit this year and say he has tried a lot of new things with a lot of different personnel. And if we can get that run game going, and continue mixing things up it's going to continue giving other teams a bit of a headache trying to prepare for us.

If the run works this weekend and we win, we'll be yet a completely different team the week after. If we shuffle personnel around some more, it's going to make it even harder for teams to figure us out. We are in a good position of showing different faces and different strategies just about every Sunday keeping the element of surprise on our side. This team's new found flexibility just may be its biggest weapon.

Montana Moore, LOL.. I bet I know whose jock strap you wish you could be

How did I know there would be at least one guy that would read that sentence and that's all he would read. CLT Panther, your originality and humor is out of this world. Have you tried Letterman?

Second reply and the thread is already at risk of being de-railed.

You obivously have not researched the Rams very well ...

We play press man corner on the outside as the majority set ...

According to Stats, LLC, opposing QB's are completing less than 38% of attempts against our corners Fletcher and Bartell when in man ...

I'm just not seeing Matt Moore as the one to buck this trend. He might find better success against our zone blitzes ...

Good luck ....

Fletcher and Bartell? I'm not knocking the corners cuz I've never even heard of them...

But no-name corners vs our no-name recievers...

Our win against the 49ers gave me hope, but this Sunday is going to be a tough test for panthers for sure.

Here's to a good game with no injuries!

Now carry in with your condescending posts!

Nothing condescending. I am concerned deeply about playing the 80's 49'ers led by Montana Moore!

    • People really need to stop placing Dan Morgan on some kind of infallible pedestal. He is absolutely in lockstop with Tepper regarding Bryce and has been all along. As far as the team being okay with 185 passing yards per game. We better have a proven monster RB in our backfield then. Presently that guy is not on the roster. Chuba has one outlier season so far and the other guys have proven nothing. Not what you would call a great recipe. The only thing we can hope at this juncture is that the highest paid OL in the league for the second year in a row elevates their play from last season and opens up some massive holes even our RB's can get through. But it still doesn't resolve the issue of predictability. With no viable passing game it is much easier to shut down any run game. No defenses are scared of Bryce's arm. It is what it is.
    • i lived in Atlanta from 84'to 92' & back then it was indeed a very different time without the internet & access to information 24/7. shortly after i moved back home to western NC around 93' or 94' the Carolina Panthers were awarded an NfL franchise & began their inaugural season in 95' so ike you i have seen the Carolina Panthers, ,the NFL ,technology, fans all evolve over the many a moon & years now some for the better & others not so ...just saying
    • I wouldn't even bet on us winning the NFC South. All four teams had excellent Drafts.
