Rae Carruth to get a new trail?

I heard this on the news snippet last night. Don't know which station. I can't seem to find anything on it. Anyone hear this?

And while we're at it, all it is is his attorneys saying they should throw out what Cherica Adams said because she wasn't alive for a cross-examination. Well, she wasn't alive for it because he had Van Brett Watkins kill her.

This guy couldn't fade into oblivion any faster.

I remember being in elementary school or middle school and watching this trial on Court TV. Even when I was 10 or 11 I thought he was a disgrace.

Thanks, I was in a hurry. My real estate agent was coming over for me to sign the revised papers on my new place.

I was pre-law once upon a time. It seems to me that testimony can be allowed if the person isn't alive. Usually it falls back on transcripts form a previous trail, or in cases that the testimony would put the person in imminent danger of their life. It's close, if she wasn't deposed as a witness. If could be ruled as "hear say". Seeming as the judge allowed it in the first trail, re-trail judges as less likely to over turn it. (Doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.)

He got 18-24 years and not the death penalty. Most states, if you get the death penalty, cases are automatically kicked to an appellate court for review.

The man is a scam bag IMO. He should have gotten more. Again, IMO.
