Very excited for the Rams game!

Short story long - I used to be a Rams fan. That was my 'bp' days or Before Panthers. I was what...7? I chose them because I liked the helmet. I grew up watching Everett, Wendell Tyler, Ellard, Dickerson. Rams sucked so bad it was hard to be a fan. When they beat the 49ers on a Monday night it was one of the best nights I had! (course I was in a barracks eating venison off a hot plate!)

So Carolina got a team and the Panthers became my #1 team right away. I was done rooting for a team not even in my state. Sad the Rams finally made it and won the dance AFTER I left them as a fan but /shrug...was still very happy for them.

The double OT playoff game in 2003 (?) was the best game ever - and it was against the rams! Still have it on DVR...thanks NFL Network!

Well...come Sunday the rebuilt Rams are gonna face the Panthers on a streak! The rams can easily be beaten - but oooooh they can also win so I'm putting this game on the schemes of our coaches. I know our players will execute. If our WR continue to get open (still so happy they FINALLY did!) than that will be one less worry!

So my keys to the game:

1. Keep Matt protected. He needs a wall to throw 300 yards.

2. We got off the 'schnide' now its time for our running game to do the same. I bet the Rams gameplay to stop the run and dare Matt to beat us like everyone else did - we beat the the 49'ers but coaches GOT to gameplan the same until they respect Matt.

3. Stop Stephen Jackson. He has a hurt hand so I hope to see some lids hitting it often. Our run defense doesnt seem to get in stride until AFTER we are burned for a 50+ yard run.

Panthers 34, Rams 21

He converted all 13 of his field goal tries with a 100% conversion rate that led all FBS kickers with at least 12 attempts. Fitzgerald was also perfect on his 14 extra points. He will compete with Matthew Wright for the Panthers’ kicking job in training camp. Harrison-Hunte went undrafted despite a strong showing at the Combine. He’s an older prospect who will turn 25 by the start of his rookie year, but he had just one season of sustained production at SMU after five years at Miami. Still, he earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2024 with 8.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks and will push for a roster spot in Carolina as an athletic interior disruptor.   more at the link https://www.profootballrumors.com/2025/05/panthers-sign-19-undrafted-free-agents
