Randy Moss released for being Steve Smith

Come on now, Chuck Smith's knees were shot before he ever even signed a contract for us apparently.

Jason Peter had a bad neck.

They could have been axe murderers but that isn't why they didn't perform on the field.

My point is every time the Panthers took a flier on someone with questionable influence on their locker room, they got burned. And not just on the field.

Nothing is more important than winning. Nothing. Winning is the only thing. If you aint in this game to win, then you in the wrong business. This isnt pop warner, this is the NFL. A man's league.

Then why do they wear pink cleats and accessories to honor breast cancer awareness?

All I know is, after the Lions game in 2008 (he had terrible game), my son (his first game) and I were at those gates near the players lot. Smitty was walking with his daughter and told us all he would not sign autographs. I asked him to sign my son's football and that he was my son's favorite player of all time (son 7 at time). He looked at my son and said, "Yeah buddy, I'll sign your ball". He signed it AND my son's jersey. He didn't have to do that, especially since he was ready to leave with his family. Didn't seem to be that bad of guy to me.

He'd have to be a complete douchebag to say no in that situation.

I don't define people like Ben Roethlisberger, Jerramy Stevens, Rae Carruth and OJ Simpson as "men". They're pieces of s--t. Real "men" don't do the kind of crap these guys did.

If you want to cheer for guys like that, go ahead. Doesn't say much for you, though.

Would it have been okay for Chris Terry to beat his wife if he had been a better player?

Which stands for Not For Long if you don't win.

It's called multi-tasking. ;)

Serious question, haven't followed Rothlisbergers odyssey that closely. Didn't he just pinch some girls ass or something and hasn't ever been charged or convicted of a single offense?

I mean Carruth and OJ Simpson are murderers, does Rothlisberger deserve to be bunched with these guys?

What?! Smitty not a douche? Evidence to the contrary?! BLASPHEMY!

He's been accused of rape three times. In all three cases, the girls have chosen not to prosecute because of the uphill battle they'd be facing. In the case of the last one, the idiot police officer pretty much ruined any chances she might have had.

Only one girl actually sued him, so the 'gold digger" argument doesn't apply.

He's scum.

    • More praise of Renfrow from Tim Weaver (formerly of USA Today's Panthers Wire, now SI.com), and also what I told some of you, my Huddle friends, from the start: keep it all in perspective, and don't conveniently---and perhaps unfairly, discount and label Renfrow as a JAG when it was a very debilitating illness affecting his play.    "It's understandable to be skeptical about Renfrow's abilities at this late point in his career. After all, he missed all of last season due to a bout of ulcerative colitis that also took a serious toll on his production in 2022 and 2023."   When Renfrow is healthy, he's an above average guy. Being 29 may hurt or help his chances depending upon perspective, but 29 for receivers generally means that there's still (sometimes plenty) gas in the tank. Renfrow also obviously has plenty of motivation and has come with his game face.   "Then agan, seeing is believing and by all accounts Renfrow has been very impressive since joining the Panthers a few months ago... Where Renfrow will fit in Carolina's new-look receiver corps remains to be seen, but at this rate it's going to be hard to exclude him from the initial 53-man roster." https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/hunter-renfrow-sick-route-panthers-training-camp Read the room, ladies and gentlemen. And don't get it twisted; Renfrow isn't the most talented receiver on the team, but we have seen his ceiling, when healthy, in a Raiders offense that wasn't necessary replete with talent. Consider what he can do, especially in the slot, in a Panthers offense primed with young talent (no pun intended). From sick to "sick routes," eh?
    • That is literally what I am talking about. Those were 53 man cuts. Not at the beginning of camp.  I would say the odds of Barno being back are extremely thin.
